Getting some feedback

If you follow my AD twitter or my FurAffinity, you may be aware of this piece I got by AnotherMeekOne (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/53185129/), and if you aren't, well, you are now. The "were-otaku" concept is something I've had in mind for a while and since I got the commission, I've wanted to write a story based on it. It would be a bit different from my normal fare, more drawn out - it would follow an original character as they see a were-otaku curse spread across a weekend at a convention, before finally being caught and transformed themselves.
My thought was having a sort of YCH element to the story, where you or your character could appear, either as a regular con-goer or as one of the transformed, with the were-otaku concept applied. You could give me details about what you think your form would be like, and I'd insert it in the story. Patrons would be automatically given a spot should they wish for one, and others could have a sort pay-what-you-want aspect to it where how much they pay for accounts for how prominently they appear in the story - perhaps a limit up to £15, since i wouldn't want anyone to be taking over the story.
If the idea goes down well I may apply this format to other story ideas I have, I'm not sure. The were-otaku thing is the one on my mind at the moment, but I just wanted to get some opinion from you guys how you felt about it. Feel free to comment or...perhaps describe your own were-otaku form, if you're so inclined.

Hey Jasper! The were otaku idea is very neat, definitely interested to see what you do with it! Especially the idea of a longer thing centered on a larger scale change like that. And the idea of having little cameos seems like a good one! As for my own ideas of were-otakus, I have two that come to mind. On a bit more of a fantastical side, I imagine a wizard/mage character of some sort who would try to study this strange phenomenon of the infection, only for his spellbooks to corrupt into manga, and without access to magical protection he’d be unable to resist diving into all this new manga. But on the more mundane side, another idea is someone who starts off as a very average rhythm game player, pretty good at Guitar Hero or Dance Dance Revolution. But as the were-otaku curse surges, not only do his skills improve, but his obsession with more “advanced games too intense for western casuals” like Sound Voltex and Chunithm increases as well. You’d think that the exercise from such games would mean he might NOT be a big fat weeb, but his love of rhythm games is second only to his love for all sorts of Japanese snacks and gorging himself of ramen and such.
