It may be that the people you were in contact with are not the same people in contact with other devs. I’m sorry if I’m coming off as rude. Not my intention. I liked your original premise and story and I’m just upset that you had to water it down/change it in order to comply with the guidelines. Now it just seems forced but I understand why you are doing what you are doing.

It's so sad that so many uninformed people just jump to conclusions, when they obviously don't know the facts. It's great how you tell me what I can or cannot do, however this is just plain incorrect as has been told me personally by Patreon over the course of the last 2 weeks. If you're going to change the story, at least it should be somewhat believable. Are Ashley and Victoria still just roommates or the landlady's daughters? The entire story seems ridiculous that a landlady would cook dinner much less live in the same apartment as her tenants. If the MC was staying with a host family, this would make more sense. Overall, I think you should have done what some other developers were doing, remove all reference to restricted fetishes from your site but keep the game as is. After all, it is YOUR game, Patreon is only responsible for what is posted on its site. Dark Silver, Lewdlabs, and a few others have complied with Patreon's guidelines and are still going strong. It's sad that you are choosing to sacrifice your story in order to comply with requests that will most likely be irrelevant in the long run (like if you choose to continue on a different site).

I personally don't care if its in**t, stepin**st or how the new one is now....it sucks that your being forced to change your game but as long as the core game does not change I'll keep playing. I understand patreons "trying to maintain a positive image" stance but is it really that hard to keep adult content and non adult content seperate. oh well...rant /off

To be honest, i played the game with the taboos switched off because i am more interested in the game play and imagery than playing a game just because what they are doing is pushing moral boundaries. If that's all a game has going for it, it's not much of a game in my book. That said, I think this game works just fine as a man lodging with a family, and the changes have not put me off playing. remembering back to when i was lodging with families as a student and a graduate engineer, I know that some of my friends in the same position ended up getting jiggy with the landlady's daughter, or at the very least got an eyeful or two on several occasions. I never had that kind of luck. Breaking taboos and fetish stuff don't normally appeal to me, but the Veronica storyline works well as a Shades of Grey story even with the taboos switched off. I haven't managed to progress the Ashley or Claire storylines as far, so i cannot comment on them yet.

I've had several incest-related games I subscribe to both get taken down and brought back up without changing the content of the game. As far as I understand, it is strictly based on what is publicly available. Their guidelines mention that incest is a sensitive subject and so they allow it if it is a work of fiction (they use Game of Thrones and Lolita as examples). Since games are works of fiction, incest is allowed (as long as it doesn't involve rape and only involves consensual adults).

Well to be honest the story didn't change that much, however I do see your point. I would suggest coming on to discord to join the discussion there, as there is more information there.

I don't think its impossible to work within the new guidleines and be succesful but I think the games that work will be the ones that have a story or goal in sight (getting off a desert island, solving a mystery, time travel or somesuch) not just random encounter, stat grind, scene, repeat

I'm sticking around a bit longer to see how you adjust to the changes but I don't think you have an easy job ahead of you with the current set-up as what you have now is a very vanilla story about some guy living with some random girls and randomly engaging with them and their friends (grinding) towards no overall goal.

Sorry, I have to agree with RedUnit10. Is there some way those of us with earlier releases can get updates for the new content without allowing full builds to be accessed that have the no longer allowed content?

what gives them the right to tell us, adults what kind of games we choose to contribute to? i think if they keep dictating what is allowed to be printed non their pages, i can see some designers creating another site and moving to there. i would if i knew what i was doing.

Seeing as there is a fair amount of incest related content on patreon that has so far been unaffected by this 'rule change', I often time wonder if maybe it's not a rule change but perhaps some mother found her kid with this content and complained so patreon is just cracking the whip to please the complainers.
