I have two important things to tell you (a bit early, but just so you know):
1. In 2 weeks I will release v0.8.2.
After that I'll be skipping one update, because after doing 30 consecutive updates, I really need a break, I hope you all understand.
2. After that, V0.8.3 will have a major overhaul, I will review all the code up to now and do the following:
- Fix all current bugs, there are still about 50(!) minor bugs right now.
- Improve the hints for all characters and make sure they are all correct.
- Add different dialogs and images for repeating events (especially the early game stuff), making these events more interesting.
- Fix outdated dialogs to reflect story progression.
- Reduce the grind: reduce the amount of repetition of events and balance the mood/needs system.
- Try to implement more feature requests, there are about 40 on my list and during "regular" updates I just don't get around to these.
This will be a very big update (technically).
This also means there will probably be no new scenes that update, but I believe this is needed to improve the overall gameplay and make sure I can continue development with a "clean slate".

I've run through the entire story a few times now after updates are released with new content and started noticing the repetitiveness and some of the story elements which no longer fit with new content. Taking a step back and correcting all of these items will tighten up the experience for new players and form a solid platform for future content. Very good job so far!

I'm amazed by the work and thought you have given this game and going through it and checking it and fixing any bugs you might find is more than we could hope for. I'm willing to wait the extra time, I might experience some withdrawal sypmtons but I'll pull through.

2018-08-19 17:09:19 +0000 UTCThis is already a strong game, but it is definitely worth you taking the time out to regroup: as others have said, we don't want you burning out and needing to take an even longer break, or even stopping the development completely. I also think using an upgrade slot to polish the game engine is a good thing as well: other episodic game devs have done similar things. Some of the repeating scenes from early in the game are now a bit odd where the MCs relationship with the NPC has moved on. Something to bear in mind for later updates: a lot of the recent content relates to events that happen at the weekends: it would be good if you could find a way for things to be spread throughout the week for some of the updates, like the recent Debby/Emma content.
