Team Director Tier FAQ

So I've gotten a few questions about this and figured it'd be easiest to detail it in a FAQ.

The Team Director tier ($40/mo) gets you every Patreon reward for the month alongside two exclusive prints. These are for this tier only and will never be sold on the online store.

Can I just buy the prints?

Yes, by subscribing to the Team Director tier, you effectively have bought the prints. Charge Upfront is enabled on my Patreon so you'll be charged the full amount of the tier upfront as you pledge. This immediately gives you access to the current month's prints!

I'm in a lower tier, can I upgrade to Team Director and not be charged the full cost?

Yes! If you're already a Patron, you'll be charged upfront for the difference. That's to say, if you pledge at the $5 level, you'll be charged $35 upfront. This will get you immediate access to the current month's prints.

Can I get the prints and back out at any point after?

Yes. Once you've been charged upfront for the prints, your pledge is recorded and I'll have your address to ship the prints out to you. Do not pledge and then immediately withdraw, I won't have time to note your address down if you do. Please give me a day or two before you withdraw if you choose to do so.

Will I be charged for next month if I pledge now?

No. The upfront cost is only for this month. If you do not withdraw your pledge or downgrade to a lower tier, Patreon will renew your pledge on the 1st of the month and you'll be charged in full for that tier again, granting you access to everything for the next month including next month's prints. If you do not wish to renew on the 1st, you should downgrade or withdraw.'

Is this tier available to people who don't live in North America?

Yes, but please add an extra $10 to your pledge to cover the extra cost of shipping. Shipping is ok for me within my continent but Europe/Asia/Australia is more pricey unfortunately and I can't really do this at a loss. :(

Why all this charge upfront stuff? This seems complicated.

It is, and I'm sorry for that. The truth is that I have at least one drawing every weekday so I send rewards out every week. Having charge upfront lets me get people to pledge and have access to my rewards without fearing of them cutting-and-running. I used to get people who would pledge, get links to my Dropbox, and then ghost without ever getting through a payment cycle, essentially snagging all my art for free.

I wish I didn't have to do it this way but I've dealt with this kind of shit for too long and I need to protect my art. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
