2024-10-12 19:58:10 +0000 UTCWhile Daddy Masterson is filler by technicality, he was designed by Oda himself and his chapter with Usopp was going to be manga canon. However, Oda shaved it out to save time, because he wanted to end the East Blue on chapter 100. So ultimately, Daddy is honorary canon. As a result, Usopp obtained his goggles 'off-screen' in the manga.
