good news next episode feels like classic sunny. overall the quality is a bit rocky moving forward there's some good stuff too. and yea there was no joke to the final scene. aside from showing off his body and what a great ally he is to the gay community or whatever i have a sneaking suspicion this was also in response to all the politically incorrect humor/blackface they did in the past, like after living in hollywood for over a decade he wanted to virtue signal to his liberal friends. people get so emotional about this episode some even claim its the best of the show π

There doesn't seem to be much of a joke to that final scene at all which is kinda what you'd expect from Sunny normally haha. Kinda left me a little lukewarm too but onto the next one I guess! Still quite a few more to go :)

2024-11-24 22:08:53 +0000 UTCi'm gay and i hate gay mac lol i feel like they just don't know where to go with his character after this. as satire it worked much better having him be in denial, that was always a big part of his personality. they kinda retconned the character around season 9, he went after girls in the past he just seemed to have some latent homoerotic tendencies he denied. which is just funnier and more in line with his character. apparently he's got 2 moms so he felt he had to do this episode...that's cool and all but to me it comes across more ego based. he wanted to shoehorn in his ridiculous body he achieved with his hollywood trainer (maybe some steroids?), showoff what an ally he is to the LGBTCIA community, it just comes across as self-serving....sure the dance was impressive i get why its touching to some people but it just doesn't belong in the show. danny devito and his "i get it" is sooo corny it hurts to watch. it just isn't sunny. not one laugh maybe a chuckle at cricket's appearance. frank's bloody nose was lazy they did that gag already. i'm definitely in the minority everyone raves about this episode and says either i dont get it or i'm a self loathing gay lol
