Dalton mentioned Blackbeard was the one who Wapol fled from. Also, Hiriluk said his "Will" will be inherited. This resembles a certain quote from the Loguetown ep 52 (chapter 100). It wasn't stated but the voiceover that spoke this quote was Gold Roger: "Inherited will. The tide of the times. People's dreams. These things cannot be stopped. As long as people seek the answer of freedom, these things will never cease to be!" This quote is said to be the core of One Piece's narrative. Inherited will is what one accomplishes on behalf of a past generation, OR what they leave to future ones. Tide of the times refers to literal time passing but also revolution across the ages. Dreams and freedom. Both are inherited as well as sweeping people like a tide. And as such, Chopper inherits Hiriluk's will, Sanji inherits Zeff's, Zoro inherits Kuina's, etc, etc.
