There's not much to say about Falmuth. Edgar is Edmaris's son. Iirc, he's about 10 yo. Edward is the King's brother. He believes that somehow he's going to get out of this mess.

The Tenma War and angels. Angels are even stranger than demons. When you think of angels, you are probably not close to getting the right impression, probably. I really can't say more. Deeno is a fallen "angel", but it's hard to say what that means exactly. So, about every 500 years there is a war called the Great Tenma War. Ten means heaven and ma refers to demon (as in maoh). Angels come from [redacted] and their primary targets are usually cities. Rimuru doesn't know this, or he recently found out about it. King Dwargo told him that's one reason why the dwarves' city is in a mountain. It just so happens to be about 500 years since the last war. If you recall back to Diablo's Summoning by Rimuru, Diablo recited the rule that demons are strong against angels, angels are strong against spirits, and spirits are strong against demons. It's not a simple binary good vs. evil paradigm......... They also mention a threat from the East, and a merchant. We, the audience, do not know who the Eastern merchants are. These ideas have been mentioned intermittently and briefly since the beginning of the series.

So Roy was the Demon Lord. No one knows (maybe a few know) that Roy has anything to do with the church. Then there is Louis, he is the Emperor of Lubelius. Then there is Luminus. Few in the church realize that Luminus is even a live person, few know she's a vampire or that vampires run the country of Lubelius. She is known as the god. Hinata, because of her backstory, and the situation upon her transference to that world, has certain beliefs. Although there were people close to her, they were too weak to trust; she left them because she thought she might need to kill them someday. Until she met Luminus....... Luminus has set up a "utopia". Everyone lives peacefully. The humans are happy. The vampires are happy. Luminus gives the humans something to believe in by giving them refuge from monsters, who could and do attack them. Demon Lord (Roy) Valentine represents the evil they are being protected from. Luminus and the Church do the protecting. One of the things they explore broadly in Slime is, what kind of society is the best? This represents one choice. It's why Luminus says, "There is no justice that satisfies all free will." The advent of Rimuru threatens to upset this order. They need to find a way to explain this deviation from doctrine. Also, they explain exactly why the Church has a grudge against Veldora, because he destroyed their castle or city 2000 years ago. He made the whole area a wasteland, so they had to move. This has created other problems in turn. Luminus let Roy be the front person as the Demon Lord for the past 1500 years. He was probably a demon lord seed. That means Kazalim, who I think came into the picture about 800 years ago, didn't know about it. Leon defeated Kazalim 200 years ago. Clayman must have been included as a demon lord before that, and he inherited all of Kazalim's properties, etc. Adalmann was part of that, he actually was part of a mechanism; his only free will was in how he fought with intruders, but he had to fight and he couldn't kill himself. That's why he felt he needed to take Shuna with him. I think that's it for the Church for now. All this was kind of outlined in this episode or last season.

I have tried really hard to come up with good commentary for Season 3, but it's new and it's complicated for the first half. So I won't be as, shall we say, organized or assured, as in older Seasons. They think the Rimuru's real purpose was to raid Clayman's castle, while the battle was just a sideshow. In reality, it was the opposite. Remember Yuuki is the Grandmaster of the Guild. He's got a lot of influence, connections in the Western Nations. The Western Nations is kind of shorthand for the human lands. He knows Hinata too, remember they were at school together at the same time, they are roughly the same age. Blumund is trying to discourage interference in Falmuth by other nations, and they mention Dwargon, too. The timeline is that the day of Walpurgis, Rimuru sent Youm, Diablo, the prisoners, and others off to Falmuth. As they traveled by carriage, it took a couple of weeks. The meeting with Yuuki, Kazalim, and the Clowns probably took place at the end of, or just prior to, Walpurgis' end, and the meeting between Louis and Hinata took place after Roy's death but before Luminus' return. The announcements of both Rimuru's intentions by declaring himself a Demon Lord, and the almost immediate news of the changes in the Demon Lord organization is because the latter was a press release from the Octagram itself (if you want to name yourself, make sure the humans don't have a chance to publicize some other name first). ........ I realized I left out the difficulty Diablo had in undoing Shion's handiwork in last week's episode. Shion's Skill Master Chef can actually alter reality. In this case, Shion (with her sword), changed the natural state of their bodies. That's why the potions didn't work, because they already were in their proper state. Diablo had to do some great spell-casting to return them back to normal human bodies. Luckily, Diablo is good at magic (like all demons).
