Cheesecake vol. 1 - “Interception” (COMPLETE!)
Added 2023-08-06 17:35:22 +0000 UTC”Cheesecake” will be my first ever printed adult comic! Each volume will contain a bite-sized, short story filled with romance, emotion, and a good bit of dicking. 💜
”Interception” follows two dude-bros, Mika & Henri, spending an evening together watching a football game. Pressured to maintain a heterosexual book cover to his life, starts to see color bleeding through the cracks. He takes a chance by opening to his buddy about his insecurities as his boundaries are thoughtfully (and humorously) tested.
This story is inspired by themes I’ve experienced as a queer dude growing up through the 2000’s and through today. Mundane activities is often ridiculed as being gay and goes against societal norms. Even things as general as good hygiene. My goal with this story is to create a heartwarming story that challenges these expectations realistically while making it an enjoyable, adult-themed comic.

10/13/2023 - Added pages 6 & 7! At this rate, I’m able to finish 2 pages a week on top of everything else I’m doing. I’m casting a wide net of projects, but I’m going through each thing one by one. After I finish page 8, I’ll work on thumbnailing the next 9 pages and share them next week. Thank you so much for supporting me, y’all. This project has been so much fun to do. 💜
10/17/2023 - Page 8 is done! Been hitting a real good flow with these, though I should turn my attention to Lewi for a few days next. Still, I’m so happy with my progress so far. Should have another page to put up by the end of this week or definitely by next week.
10/31/2023 - Not to date this update though I literally am but HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! Updating y’all with pages 9 and 10! Hope y’all have a safe and cozy holiday. UwU
11/02/2023 - Makin‘ pretty good progress! Granted, this page doesn’t have too much detail going. Just back and forth dialogue. Still, I’m really pleased with my pace and overall quality with the dialogue. It’s something I’ve been honing since the start of this year. I also found a company willing to print my comic when it’s finished, too! It’s gonna be my first print and I’m SO stoked. Still a touch early for that, but it’s good to have a printer in mind that I know is gonna do a good job when it’s done. ANYHOW hope you’re digging it all so far! My goal is to finish 2 pages per week, 3 if I’m lucky.

11/16/2023 - Pages 13-18 have been added! I’ve been finishing a page every day. Gonna keep this up and put out thicker, weekly updates with multiple pages attached. Expect 4-7 pages per update! I’m at a point now where I need to thumbnail the next 9 pages since I’m caught up on my sketches for this project. Gonna take today to get those put together. From this point, the comic is gonna get pretty meaty. UwU
12/1/2023 - Pages 19 - 24 are up! Making real good time on these pages. Things are gettin’ pretty dick-y from here on out!

1/4/2024 - Pages 24 & 25 have been added! First update of the new year! I’ve been away on holiday throughout most of December through New Years. I’ll be making my way back home on the 9th where I’ll be returning to a regular schedule. It’s been a much needed break but I’ve still been working here and there while on the road. I hope the New Year is treating y’all well so far! 💜
1/16/2024 - Pages 26 - 36 are finished for your viewing pleasure! I made some changes in the pacing with the dialogue from the sketch to the final products. I know the sketches finished off with Mika begging Henri to put it in his butt, and he still will! I just want it to have more weight by the next page forward. I really think y’all are gonna like how all this goes. I adore adding story and strong dialogue in a story like this. Helps it remain personal but still kinda hot. P:

7/17/2024 - Reuploaded AND uploaded pages 25 - 45! I'll admit I'm a bit embarrassed that it took me 6 months to circle back around and get these pages to you all. With working on A Fox in Space, setting up Blender courses for new animators, launching my apparel, I stretched myself a little thin. It's good to be coming back around to this. Thank you for being so patient and supportive. 💜🐺
10/31/2024 - Added 46-50! Only 14 pages left until it’s complete! I’ve been making this a solid priority until I have all the pages rendered. Finishing an average of 1-2 pages per day.
11/30/2024 - Added pages 51-57! NEARLY DONE! 7 pages to go. Been an awfully busy holiday month with my birthday and Thanksgiving. Overall it’s been a real productive month for me with this comic, a special Sweat Hearts, and helping out with A Fox in Space. I’m going to keep working through until I have the entire comic finished and the cover! With any luck I may have a physical copy to show by the end of the month or January!
12/28/2024 - 58-64! Which means the entire comic is DONE!!
After working on this comic for over a year and getting to this point, I thought I would have the right words to express how I feel. Right now, I'm so grateful to have so many of you willing to offer your support to fund what I believe I should be doing with my time and creativity. With how uncertain the future is going to be, y'all are the lifeblood of artists like me. The best way I can express my gratitude is by putting out the work that matters to me, because it clearly matters to you. Thank you. 💜
Right now, the next step is for me to send this off to be printed! I'll be getting a promotion copy to show around on my socials to get people interested in preordering them. Once I have a physical copy in my hands, I'll be sure to post it here!

Henry's doing everything he can to make sure they both have a good time. I'm assuming Mika's tears will be addressed in the next set of pages. As much as he may be enjoying what's happening, he's in need of some reassurance from the looks of it. These new feelings can be overwhelming. I'm guessing the older sketch page with Mika's inner thoughts mentioned in my previous comment was scrapped, hence the page number changes. Maybe we'll see those thoughts later? Only our candy-coated arteest knows for sure.

Though I have to add, the fact that we're getting a moment of clarity by sniffing a cranberry spice donut candle is pretty amazing!
