Pa always said “If yer makin somethin else yer business, be prepared to set up shop”. It ain’t that I gots uh problem with folk. Some uh my best friends are folk. Life is just easier to stroll without someone else naggin at me all thuh time!

That’s not to say I don’t miss good company. I quite like the warm body of a romantic individual. With my lifestyle, you sorta learn how to be with just yerself—be yer own party! In that regard, I quite like myself. Not in no big-headed manner or nothin like that. We’re stuck with ourselves ferever, might as well make the best of it, yeah? Anywho... the good thing about bein yer own best friend is you know what makes you feel full and what makes you empty.

Maybe when I get to the next town, I’ll find me good cutie. Still a few days walk from here. Nights like these I tend to fantasize who I’ll be tumblin on the sheets with. A good kisser who talks from the heart. Ain’t tryin tuh please me fer my sakes. Course I got my degenerate constitutions about me, but nothin makes me harder than a sappy romantic; makes me pop my cork like nothin else!
