A Little About the Process and insights into speeding up the workflow

You'll see in this timelapse that I started off by drawing the torso. To be honest, I didn't have too much of a vision of what this piece was going to be at the beginning. I knew that I wanted to draw an NSFW piece, so I started with drawing a torso (I actually LOVE drawing torsos!) and then see where it took me from there.

After the torso was drawn my mind kept going back to Norse mythology because I recently read a book built in a world based off of norse mythology and realized I've never drawn a Valkyrie before! And with my newly leveled up wing drawing skills (check out our wings tutorial if you haven't already), a valkyrie seemed perfect!!

For the colors and the background, I wanted this piece to fit in with the Valkyrie Freyja piece that I did a while back, so I used that background as a base and I think it worked pretty well!

After coloring, I found that I loved the NSFW version with how well her body stands out against the wings and the shield, but when I added the clothing and armor near the end, I found that her silhouette got a little lost and confusing. So you will see at the very and that I had to shift her dress to red, and that helped her stand out a lot better!
