Under the bloody sky, she strode forward, clad in bright steel, her blade catching the dim light. Her pale blond hair flowed like a river behind her as she took each step, eyes fixed ahead. She bore the weight of her vows of protection; she, the lone sentinel standing between light and darkness.

I'll never tire of drawing ladies with swords and armor! We worked on this piece over a couple of Twitch livestreams where I didn't have a plan other than I felt like drawing a girl with a sword! As you may know by now, sometimes, no plan with an artwork is the best plan!

The centered, straight-up-and-down composition makes it a very stable piece, communicating the feeling of strength and steadfastness that I wanted to associate with the character. But to still give it some movement, her flowing hair, cape, and skirt flow out behind her!

Anyhoo, I hope you guys like this piece!

I'm thinking of putting together a step-by-step text and image tutorial/explanation for it as well that I will upload later for you this week. So keep an eye out for that!
