🔥 Uncensored Video🔥

Pose Reference

You will see at the beginning of this process that I start sketching an entirely different pose. Part way through drawing that first sketch, it occurred to me that I have some reference that I took a while back for the dynamic poses tutorial that might work well for a floaty goddess like this!

So I ran back there and found this photo reference of myself! It helps speed up the sketching process so much if I can find or better yet, make exactly the reference that I need!

Some parts of the pose obviously needed to be slightly adjusted like the foot positioning and even the leg angle slightly, BUT it gives a really solid starting point to have a photo taken that is as close to possible to the pose I want to draw.

Colors

After the sketch and lineart were complete, I started blocking in colors and they began quite different to how they ended up. I had an idea that I wanted some pink in her hair but at first I made her dress and wings ordinary off-white. But I quickly realized that as a rainbow goddess, I would need to work with more colors!

The tricky aspect of working with rainbow is using so many colors but making them feel cohesive. I found that rather than using ALL OF THE COLORS, it was actually quite effective to use gradients that are closer to sunset colors. A hint of turquoise, Blue, Purple, Pink, Orange, and yellow. The sunset colors are a bit softer than full saturation rainbow colors, but they still communicate the multitude of the color spectrum while staying in harmony.

Anyhoo, I hope you like the piece! Happy watching my loves!

Comments

She looks amazing! I did my own version of Iris months ago and have been thinking about re-drawing her in my updated style. I love your take on her!

Thank you! There is kind of a mixed answer to your question. There is an audience for it, even though the nude versions I do occasionally are quite mild. (Our most popular happy mail guild is the spice guild that includes the spice print of the month) But I also like doing it. One of the things that inspired me to get back into art was taking a trip to Italy and seeing paintings of scenes and mythological figures who were painted many of the times nude.

Beautiful work. Why do you do a nude versions of your work? This is the first time I come across this so I was just wondering? Is there a specific audience for it or is it your preference?
