Here are a couple of commissions of Keira and Caspian for the author Kalynn Applewhite for her brand spankin' new and upcoming book A Song of Spells and Sorrows that was recently announced.

She specifically wanted lineart commissions so that they will print clearly on the black and white interior pages of her book.

The intricate frames around the portraits were interesting to do! I don't usually draw frames quite in this style so it was a fun chance to expand my skill set. Incorporating elements that have to do with each character in the frames was also an interesting little challenge.

Anyhoo, I hope you like them! A perfect cute couple piece for valentines (even though the holly makes it a little winter themed. haha) Make sure to check out this lovely author's website!
