I dedicate this piece to naps!

haha! But seriously, the inspiration for this piece came about when I was feeling so sleepy and lay down for a nap. I was feeling a bit guilty about it because I had a lot on my to-do list. But then I justified it to myself by thinking that I'll rest for 'today' and be super productive 'tomorrow'. That's when this idea popped into my head.

So here is a resting warrior, getting a little shuteye before the battle ahead.

I also took the chance to practice a bit of lettering. I'm intimidated by lettering and typography, but it's a skillset I'd like to improve, and I've realized over the years that the only way I'll fit the practice in is by incorporating it into the illustrations I'm already working on. So here it is!

And there are 4 color variations to this one. Perhaps I'm becoming increasingly indecisive about my colors! hnnnng!
