✨Art//The Reunification of Orpheus and Eurydice

The once-anguished notes of Orpheus's music finally fell silent to the mortal realm, his heartbroken melodies giving way to the stillness of the realm of the dead.

Eurydice, her eyes swirling with a mix of anger and joy, drew near to Orpheus's sundered spirit. She seized his robes, wrenching him close, and with a tender brush of her lips against his, their souls, separated for so long, found their long-awaited reunion. As realization dawned upon him, Orpheus's eyes drifted closed, a tear escaping, carrying with it, the realization that their love was once again made whole in the eternal realm of the afterlife.

Hello my lovelies! 🌟 Here is the public post of this piece of Orpheus and Euridice from quite a while back!

Bringing you some mythology mush!  Hehe!πŸ˜„βœ¨

Here is my little "happy ending" epilogue fanfiction to this myth.

If you aren't familiar with the myth, I'll try and summarize it briefly for you: πŸ“œ

The myth of Orpheus and Eurydice tells of the tragic love between the gifted musician Orpheus and the nymph Eurydice.  They were in love and married but then Eurydice dies from a snakebite.  Orpheus journeys to the Underworld to bring her back.  With his music, he moves Hades and Persephone to grant him a chance to guide Eurydice out of the underworld, but with the condition that he must not look back at her as they leave.  Just as they are approaching the exit, Orpheus, in a moment of doubt, glances back, and Eurydice is lost to him and must remain in the underworld.  He has no more chances to bring her back and so wanders the world playing a song so mournful that it eventually calls death to him (how he dies varies according to the source).

So here is my little epilogue, where I take the liberty to give a tragedy a happy ending.  haha.  I hope you like it!😊

In other news, I am HELLA swamped with stuff to do before the end of this month.  So, apologies if I seem a little quiet.  I still will be working on getting everything up here as normal, so don't worry about that but over the next couple days, I'm heads down trying to get everything done that needs to be done.   I'm working on the German special edition to a book cover for a pretty prominent author that is quite intricate but I'm so excited about it! Ahhh!

I'm also ver excited about our upcoming tutorial! I think it is going to be SO helpful for both beginners and non-beginners who just want to up their game! Keep an eye out for it later this month!

Anyhoo  I am excited to share with you what has me so busy!πŸ™ŒπŸ’Ό

I do too. The original myth's ending is so frustrating and sad!

ChrissaBug

I honestly prefer your version with a happy ending
