Etherical abilities can be developed by almost all representatives of the intelligent species of Equis. To do this, one need to develop and train the etheric apparatus - a special part of the central nervous system. The etheric apparatus grows and acquires a certain pattern, depending on what abilities the etheric learns.
Natural etherical abilities are modest enough that the people of Equis have come up with tools to enhance them. First of all, these are amplifiers that increase the natural abilities, facilitate their use and protect against negative effects. Focusing devices are the second necessary element. They help to direct abilities more accurately. Focusers are usually presented in the form of gloves, wands or staves.
The most famous and popular areas of etherics are propulsionics and metacognistics.
Propulsionists etherics specialize in transmitting energy over a distance, using etherical waves. They can push or pull objects or themselves, heat or cool objects, create electrical discharges, or control the movement of light.
Metacognitists etherics use etherical waves to transmit, receive, and store information. They can affect emotions, suppress or enhance other people's etherical abilities, transmit mental images, retain their own memory, or sense the space around them in a special way.
Also, some abilities can be combined to get new ones.
