Hiii all,

Progress is continuing, and going well! I know this looks like only four chapters of edits, but it actually includes effectively 2 1/2 entirely new chapters within that, like over 7000 words of added content! I've put them in the same file as before, so take a look to see even more of Josie being stupid (affectionate) and accidentally helping people out.

This is meant to further sketch out the details of a particular background story that obviously comes up again later, but also to further give some texture to Josie's character growth throughout the story. I hope that it still makes sense in the overall arc, and would appreciate feedback to that regard. :)

I am continuing revisions now, and you can expect the next stretch of chapters to be minimally affected, up until Josie's parents show up again in the scenes at her house. That part will get a bit of tweaking, I think, such that it winds up making sense as an arc in the full context of the story too. We'll see! I need to think on it more.

Also, one more minor change: after having it pointed out that Dustin's sister Jodie has a name awfully similar to Josie, which doesn't really come up in too close conjunction, but which might still be a little awkward, I've changed her name to Sadie instead. I think that's just very slightly smoother... Though I do want you to know that when original-timeline Jodie found out what Josie's name was, her eyes got all big and starry and she said "Wow, she's just like me but all grown up, she's so cool..." and then latched onto Josie and forced her to play together for like a whole day.
