I see. Left arm could certainly mean a lot more than just a literal left arm. Didn't think of that, but it seems clear that the memories of the giant demon arm and Aurora's memories contradict each other.

I suspect "part of Diablos" is a bit more abstract than that. High Priest guy certainly knew who Aurora was, he tried to convince her to "cooperate in the experiments" in exchange for letting Cid go. Also remember how Cid said during the Trial that he wanted to win through a trial as just a member of the crowd? Yeah.
