Thanks for the explanation! When it comes to matters of the soul I leave that up to everyone's own interpretation, cause I don't think we have any hard proof to back up any of our beliefs. But I think having our own beliefs is important to help deal with life.

2023-06-28 11:00:58 +0000 UTCAs I understand it, Ghost Hacking is to take complete basic control of the digital part of a cyberbrain. When you do that, you can stimulate the biological brain to implant or extract memories, alter what they see, etc. etc. For Ghost Dubbing, I think it's using the device to extract and transfer all the patterns that make up a personality into other biological brains, by stimulating and reading outputs from the brain (with magic future tech). This seems like it can cause some damage to the origin brain. Personality and memories are things that arise from the physical structure of the brain and can therefore in theory be copied... whether the resulting copies share one soul, or if they each have their own... Or if the soul even exists? My interpretation of the show may differ significantly from yours here, as our religious beliefs differ.
