2023-07-15 10:27:16 +0000 UTCWHen the mentioned a protocol they were taking about internet protacal i am sure you have seen "IPv4 or IPv6" before if you messed with your ether-connection if i remember correctly back then IPv4 was the high tech thing and IPv6 was the new rumored thing to replace the limited IPv4 basically a new layer to the internet Side note: they are always even numbered protocols irl
