To be fair, it's not like Mary has recovered from her trauma, but she certainly has learned to live with it... even if just a bit

She wants someone to be with her, but she also finds difficulty in trusting people in the first place. It's a conundrum. By the way, does our rescue have a name? I assume it'll be a while before someone asks, since the guest is so jumpy.
