Ch. 150 Creatures Called Babies

Having a child?

Russell hadn't expected Diana to bring up such a sensitive topic so calmly during their date. Although he knew Diana very well, even inside out, he still hadn't anticipated her bringing up this topic at this moment.

He knew Diana was quite fond of human infants, but she had never mentioned anything about having children before.

Not long after they started living together, they had engaged in an interesting discussion: which were cuter, human babies or animal babies?

At the beginning of the discussion, Diana staunchly argued that human babies were cuter, especially baby girls. She claimed that baby girls weren't just cute, they could also be dressed in various adorable dresses and played with in various fun games. When she was bored, she could even pinch their collagen-rich, round and soft faces.

To prove her point, Diana gave Russell numerous examples and even showed him a plethora of photos and videos of human infants.

However, the final result was that Russell convinced Diana that animal babies were cuter than human babies. He didn't provide many examples, just one scenario: if you were on a long flight, would you rather be sitting next to a human baby or an animal baby?

Diana hadn't expected Russell to counter her from that perspective. After seriously considering the situation, she concluded that if the human baby didn't cry, then human babies would be cuter than animal babies. But it was clear that asking a human baby not to cry was an unrealistic request. Though both were noisy, the meowing and barking of animals were still more pleasant to the ears than the piercing cries of babies.

Russell won that debate, but at the same time, he learned one thing: Diana loved children.

After calming down his initial shock, Russell put down his wine glass and slowly said to Diana, "Are you serious?"

"Of course!"

Diana also put down her glass and replied with a seriousness befitting a queen's decree.

Looking at Diana's expression now, Russell organized his thoughts and said again, "Um... You should know that both you and I are not ordinary humans."

"Babies, I'm not particularly against them. I even quite like the process of creating them."

"But you should know, this isn't a creature you can just exchange if you're dissatisfied. It's different from pets like cats and dogs."

"Babies, these creatures, can't communicate at all. Once ordered, it takes nearly 10 months for them to arrive. They come with no user manual. Their battery life is very short, requiring a charge every two hours, and they consume an incredible amount of energy. They can't be returned, replaced, or refunded through a three-package policy; instead, you need to buy a lot of accessories. Their ringtones are also annoying, and you need to figure out how to install their voice and operating systems yourself..."

"Are you sure you really want this?"

Russell cautiously hinted to Diana that now might not be the best time to have a child.

"I know babies can be troublesome, but that's for regular people."

"The problems you mentioned, I don't see them as problems."

"Or are you saying you don't actually want to have a child with me? Or maybe you're planning to have a child with another woman?"

Diana's gaze turned somewhat sharp, much like a queen scrutinizing a misbehaving minister.

Although gaze wasn't something you could physically touch, right now, Russell felt Diana's gaze was even more piercing than the Sword hidden in his wardrobe.

Unconsciously swallowing his saliva, he carefully chose his words and tone before slowly saying, "You're overthinking. If I have a child, the child will definitely be yours. Absolutely, it's a must, no doubt!"

Perhaps Russell's unusually sincere attitude convinced Diana, or maybe she didn't intend to pursue these questions any further.

After giving Russell a charmingly disdainful look, Diana picked up her wine glass and took a sip.

The vivid red liquid, resembling blood, flowed into her mouth from her alluring lips.

Her swan-like slender neck slightly lifted, and her throat gently moved as she swallowed the red wine.

Although he had become accustomed to Diana's various expressions, he couldn't help but feel thirsty when he saw the enticing way she raised her glass and drank the wine.

After downing the wine in his glass, Russell looked at Diana. With an unquestionable and unarguable tone, she said slowly, "Child, I've decided. You better work hard!"

Uh...

For a moment, Russell didn't know how to respond appropriately.

After a few seconds, he finally said slowly, "No problem, I'll work hard!"

After all, he was already putting in quite an effort.

Besides, as long as they were together, they never faced a situation where they weren't in sync.

But having a child was a mystery. Some people wanted children but struggled to conceive, while others didn't want children yet found themselves with one after another.

With the baby topic settled, their evening date returned to its normal course. After dinner, Russell and Diana took the Porsche with automatic driving capabilities back to their apartment.

Once inside, Diana tossed her windbreaker onto the sofa, then turned to face Russell.

Though Diana didn't say anything, Russell understood her intentions.

Alright!

Diana had fully demonstrated what it meant to be an Amazon warrior.

Wait!

No, it shouldn't be Amazon warrior; it should be Amazon princess and future queen.

...

The next day.

Russell slowly opened his eyes.

Checking the time, he let out a helpless smile.

It was already 2 p.m.

Glancing at the peacefully sleeping Diana beside him, Russell gently got up.

After putting on a robe, he wore slippers and headed to the bathroom.

After freshening up, he went to the kitchen and started preparing "breakfast" for Diana.

Even though it was already 2 p.m., Russell didn't plan on making a proper meal.

As he cheerfully prepared breakfast for Diana, the doorbell suddenly rang.

Before he could reach the door, it swung open.

Subsequently, Kara, dressed in a professional office outfit, walked in.
