Ch. 211 The Overstepping Hydra

Russell's face darkened, and he didn't reach out to catch the phone Bucky threw at him.

The palm-sized phone traced a perfect parabola in the air before falling from the top of the building.

Seeing that Russell had no intention of cooperating, Bucky's already cold expression grew even colder.

Russell didn't mind Hydra occasionally playing some tricks; after all, it was a longstanding tradition for Hydra.

But that didn't mean he would tolerate all of Hydra's actions.

This time, Hydra had crossed the line!

Although his address was not a secret, not even the reporters from the news channels knew it inside out.

However, knowing and actually infiltrating his apartment were two different things.

In the past, a few reporters had tried to sneak into his apartment for exclusive insider footage, daring to face the consequences of being caught.

But none of them had expected Russell to be crazier than them.

When he discovered these guys attempting to break into his apartment, Russell reverted to his old ways, becoming the mad traveler, and dealt with them directly.

Not only that, he found the newspaper and magazine owners who had encouraged these reporters to break into his apartment and sent them all to hell.

While he kept these actions relatively secret and they didn't become public knowledge among the general public, they were not secrets in the underground world.

The New York underworld knew, S.H.I.E.L.D. knew, and Hydra knew.

Although Russell had "reformed" and transitioned from being the ace assassin "Traveler" at the Continental Hotel to the well-known superhero "Serum," it didn't mean he had become easy to deal with.

Under normal circumstances, to maintain the image of the superhero Serum, he didn't mind doing some "good deeds."

But if anyone thought he was now easy to bully because of this, they were mistaken.

While Bucky had not officially entered the apartment and was on the top floor of the building, his actions were no different from unauthorized entry.

Russell's apartment was on the top floor, and in terms of distance, Bucky was only separated from the apartment by a ceiling.

Bucky stared coldly at Russell for a few seconds, then took out a walkie-talkie from his pocket and said a few words into it.

It didn't take long for Russell to hear Bakshi's voice through the walkie-talkie.

"Russell, we mean no harm, we just want to talk to you. Please don't misunderstand!"

Bakshi said sincerely.

Although his tone was sincere, Russell's expression remained unchanged.

"Address!"

Russell said coldly.

Upon hearing his words, Bakshi immediately provided an address.

"You better have a reasonable explanation!"

After saying that, Russell suddenly made a move, teleporting to Bucky's side in an instant.

Without giving Bucky time to react, he grabbed Bucky's mechanical left arm.

Then, with his right hand, he applied a slight force.

Crack!

The sturdy mechanical left arm in front of Russell was as fragile as a cake.

It wasn't until Russell crushed the mechanical arm that Bucky finally reacted.

Just as he instinctively tried to counterattack, Russell's right hand pulled the mechanical arm down.

Russell's violent pulling caused the mechanical arm to leave Bucky's body in a brutal manner.

The moment the mechanical arm was pulled away, bright red blood sprayed from Bucky's left shoulder.

Russell completely ignored Bucky's pained expression and the bleeding wound on his left shoulder. He grabbed Bucky's neck and lifted him up.

In a matter of seconds, Bucky passed out due to lack of blood supply to his brain.

After rendering Bucky unconscious, Russell glanced at Bucky's bleeding left shoulder.

Heat vision!

Two laser-like red heat beams shot out from his eyes, hitting Bucky's bleeding left shoulder.

Although Russell's control over heat vision had not reached the level where he could perform brain surgery, basic control was not a problem.

Not to mention simply cauterizing the wound to stop the bleeding, he could even use heat vision to give Bucky a tattoo if needed.

After completing this simple and brutal cauterization, he carried the unconscious Bucky and flew towards the address provided by Bakshi.

A mansion in the suburbs of New York.

After talking to Russell, Bakshi had a feeling that things weren't going well.

He had dealt with Russell several times before, but he had never heard Russell speak with such a cold tone.

He shouldn't be too angry, right?

Bakshi thought to himself silently.

As he contemplated how to explain himself to appease Russell's dissatisfaction, Russell arrived at the mansion with the unconscious Bucky.

After landing in the mansion, Russell threw the unconscious Bucky in front of Bakshi.

"Who arranged for him to come to the apartment, Whitehall or Pierce?"

Russell said with an unpleasant expression.

Hydra had dared to send Bucky to the rooftop of his apartment without any warning today.

If they weren't given a severe lesson, they might decide to lock onto his apartment with missiles tomorrow.

"Russell, calm down, we mean no harm."

Bakshi stopped moving forward, raised his hands, and tried to ease the atmosphere.

Unfortunately, Russell had no intention of letting it slide.

"The same question, I won't ask a second time!"

As soon as he said that, Russell's eyes shone with red light.

Although Bakshi didn't know when Russell had acquired this new ability, seeing his eyes flash with red light, he chose to surrender immediately.

"It was Pierce's arrangement!"

"After the operation in Norway, you've been avoiding us, and the leaders had no choice."

Bakshi quickly explained.

"He's Pierce's man, and you're Whitehall's man, don't tell me you've switched allegiances."

Russell kicked Bucky on the ground.

"It's a joint decision by both leaders, just like the Norway operation."

"But sending the Winter Soldier to the apartment was indeed Pierce's arrangement."

Bakshi quickly clarified.

"What do you want to talk to me about?"

Russell's eyes returned to their normal appearance as he walked to the sofa.

"We want you to help the organization steal something from S.H.I.E.L.D.'s lab."

"What is it?"

"The Tesseract!"
