Ch. 345 Sharing Magical Knowledge
Added 2024-04-05 16:00:08 +0000 UTCSharing a portion of one's own memory with others is not a very difficult task in the field of magic; many magics can achieve this.
However, duplicating certain knowledge one possesses to others is a different matter.
Unlike sharing memories, knowledge is not learned briefly within a fixed time.
The process of learning knowledge is a very lengthy one, involving many different points in time.
To put it simply, sharing memories is a simple single-point operation.
Once a specific point in time is identified, the memories contained in that point in time can be easily shared.
But sharing knowledge is a typical multi-point operation.
Moreover, this is not an ordinary multi-point operation; there are as few as hundreds of confirmed points in time.
Take the magical knowledge that Russell is now planning to share with Wanda; it involves at least several hundred points in time.
How to pinpoint these points in time and limit the shared content to the learned magical knowledge, excluding other irrelevant content, is a very challenging task.
Although Russell has formidable magical abilities, he wouldn't guarantee that he could do this if it were not in his own divine realm but in the mortal world.
Performing this kind of replication and sharing of magical knowledge in the mortal world would be influenced by many external factors.
But inside the sinful city of the divine realm, Russell didn't have to worry about this.
Everything in the divine realm was under his control; he could eliminate all possible factors that might affect him in advance.
After enveloping Wanda completely with a mixture of blood-red and golden light, Russell also closed his eyes and began to search in his own mind for the memories of when he initially learned magical knowledge.
It was a very tedious process.
However, for Russell, who was now a Skyfahter-level being, this was not a difficult task.
In less than a minute, he locked onto all the points in time when he learned magical knowledge.
More accurately, not only the points in time when he learned magical knowledge, but also the points when he comprehended some magical knowledge on his own.
After locking all the points related to magical knowledge, Russell first deleted all the irrelevant content inside.
For example, how he felt at the time, the surroundings, what he was thinking, and so on.
After deleting all irrelevant content, he fused these memories containing all his magical knowledge into a complete stream of information.
Not a stream like a movie or a photograph, but purely in the form of memory.
After a final check, he manipulated the stream of information containing all his magical knowledge, allowing it to leave his mind.
The stream containing all his magical knowledge leaving his mind wouldn't have any impact on him.
If there had to be any impact, it would be a little fatigue.
After all, this was a very meticulous job, and its difficulty was even several levels higher than neurosurgery.
Wanda, enveloped in the golden light mingled with blood-red, under the influence of the divine power, entered a strange state between being awake and being asleep.
Although she couldn't perceive the outside world or control her body at this moment, she wasn't nervous at all.
She felt nothing now other than anticipation and curiosity.
If she could see the outside world now, she would see a golden light ball about the size of an egg floating out of Russell's head.
Then, slowly and leisurely flying towards her.
Under Russell's control, the stream of light containing all his magical knowledge soon arrived in front of Wanda.
Then, without Wanda's awareness, it slowly merged into her mind.
When the egg-sized stream of information completely entered Wanda's mind, Russell finally breathed a sigh of relief.
The most crucial step was done; the rest was a simple merging process.
Wanda, in a state between being awake and being asleep, suddenly furrowed her brows.
Although she currently had her eyes closed, she realized that a ball of light containing a vast amount of magical knowledge had suddenly appeared in her mind.
This magical knowledge, originally belonging to Russell, directly transformed into specific magical knowledge and rushed into her memory, forcibly merging with her own memories.
Uh...
Wanda hadn't expected that when Russell talked about duplicating magical knowledge, it would be like this.
However, before she could be amazed, she felt an indescribable headache.
Having a large amount of magical information forcefully rush into her mind wasn't a pleasant experience.
Whether it was forcefully pouring a large amount of knowledge into the mind or stuffing a large amount of food into the stomach, it would give a person an unbearable sense of being overwhelmed.
If you stuff too much food, you're prone to bursting.
If you infuse too much knowledge, it can turn you into an imbecile.
Of course, Russell wouldn't let Wanda be turned into an imbecile by the magical knowledge he shared.
When Wanda felt the splitting headache, he activated his divine power and proactively guided the magical knowledge that had entered Wanda's mind, making these magical knowledge gently merge with her memory in a smooth and gentle manner.
With Russell's help, Wanda no longer felt the splitting headache.
Instead, she felt a sense of pleasure from quickly digesting a large amount of knowledge.
Time passed bit by bit.
It took almost ten minutes for Wanda to finally digest all the magical knowledge Russell had duplicated.
After confirming that Wanda had thoroughly absorbed the magical knowledge he infused, Russell released the divine power enveloping Wanda, allowing her to wake up from the state between being awake and being asleep.
Wanda, with her beautiful eyes wide open, looked at Russell in disbelief.
She knew that Russell had a lot of profound magical knowledge, but she didn't expect that Russell's knowledge of magic would be so extensive.
To help Wanda better digest this magical knowledge, Russell not only duplicated his magical knowledge for Wanda but also added many of his own insights and magical combat experiences.
From the perspective of magical power, Wanda was just a novice mage who had just started.
But in terms of knowledge and casting experience, she was already considered an extremely outstanding top-level mage.
Because she directly inherited Russell's magical knowledge and various casting experiences.
In a certain sense, she was like another version of Mage Russell.
As long as she could elevate her magical power, she would soon become a top-tier mage like Russell.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Russell said to Wanda.
"I originally thought that you could have your current abilities mainly because you had many extraordinary abilities."
"But now I find out that for you to have your current abilities, you've put in a lot of sweat and effort as well."
"I didn't expect you to learn so much magical knowledge."
Wanda said seriously.
"Knowledge is power. Although mages don't strictly adhere to scientific principles, this saying is still true for mages."
"Alright, your current magic learning course can be declared finished."
"As for how to elevate your magical power level and how to turn the magical knowledge in your mind into your true strength, you should know what to do. I won't say much more."
Russell said calmly.
"Yeah, yeah!"
"I won't disappoint your expectations!"
Wanda looked at Russell with great seriousness, promising as if making a pledge.
"Whether or not you disappoint me is not important. What's important is that you don't disappoint yourself."
"Your future is far more brilliant than you can imagine right now."
After finishing speaking, Russell extended his right hand and patted Wanda's head.
Then, his body turned into a golden light and disappeared instantly.
Seeing Russell leave without any hesitation, Wanda furrowed her brows slightly and showed a hint of displeasure.
After ending Wanda's magical course ahead of schedule, Russell didn't stay in the divine realm for long and returned to the Justice League headquarters. He continued his decadent life as a "divine being."
Although he could continue to stay in the divine realm to further improve his strength, at this point, conventional training wouldn't allow him to gain much more power.
After reaching the level of a Skyfather, unless he had some kind of special encounter, even if he trained for a thousand or ten thousand years, he wouldn't be able to reach the level of a cosmic being.
In fact, most of the powers that Russell currently possessed, apart from his Kryptonian physiology, had already reached their limits.
Whether it was magic or divine power, a Skyfather was basically the limit.
Unless Russell could elevate his life level like Vishanti or Chthon, for example.
However, reaching the life level of Vishanti or Chthon wasn't easy.
From the perspective of life level, Vishanti and Chthon were about the same as Russell; they were all divine beings.
But the difference was that they were ancient primordial divine beings, unlike Russell, who was a newly promoted Skyfahter-level being.
More importantly, Vishanti and Chthon had become the spokespeople for certain domains.
Vishanti represented white magic in the Marvel Universe, while Chthon represented black magic.
Russell's actual combat capabilities weren't bad, but his powers were somewhat complicated, making it impossible for him to be as focused as Vishanti and Chthon.
Moreover, another important reason was that, at this point in the Marvel Universe, there were basically no strong domains without "spokespeople."
Ordinary domains were still available, but those domains weren't enough to support him in ascending to a cosmic being.
Thinking about this, Russell, lying on the balcony sofa of the Justice League's study, sighed helplessly.
For him at this point, the most reliable way to ascend to a universe-level cosmic being was through the system's advanced rewards.
But the problem was, as his strength grew, the appearances of the system became less frequent.
The usual rewards now meant nothing to him.
And the advanced rewards that could elevate him to the universe-level cosmic being, such as "Infinity Ultron" or "Dark Doctor Strange," were not likely to appear anytime soon.
Even if they did appear, the difficulty of the tasks would be far from insignificant.
The higher the reward, the greater the difficulty!
Although the system was sometimes accommodating, it always adhered to this rule.
After lying on the study balcony sofa for a few minutes, Russell gave up on his thoughts.
Forget it!
Don't think about it!
If it really doesn't work out, he can learn a thing or two from DC Universe and bask near the sun for tens of thousands of years.
However, this approach had a serious problem: if Russell did that, he would truly become a recluse.
None of the people around him could live that long.
Godzilla and Grendel, as non-human monsters, might live that long, and Diana, if she also became a divine being, probably could.
But for others, it was practically impossible.
Russell didn't waste any more time thinking about this issue and casually gazed at the bright sky.
Time passed quickly.
In the blink of an eye, half a month had passed.
During this half-month, Russell demonstrated through his actions what the life of a fallen divine being was like.
Although he hadn't done anything particularly attention-grabbing during this time, and had very few appearances in the eyes of others, there were still many who wanted to meet him.
Many countries and organizations sent people to him, hoping to buy some vibranium from him, and they even offered some very tempting conditions.
However, Russell still didn't agree to their requests.
For him at this point, material rewards no longer piqued his interest.
Even eating and sleeping were now just habits to maintain his humanity and couldn't bring him any real joy.
While he didn't entertain the idea of selling vibranium to other countries and organizations, it didn't mean he was letting the vibranium accumulate dust in the Justice League headquarters.
He gave a portion of the vibranium to Tony Stark and another portion to Mr. Fantastic.
Just like others, when Tony Stark and Mr. Fantastic found out about vibranium, this unique metal from outer space, they called him and wanted some for research.
Although Tony Stark and Mr. Fantastic weren't members of the Justice League, since they had proactively contacted him, Russell didn't mind giving them some.
Both Tony Stark and Mr. Fantastic were considered trustworthy scientists.
Even if they had vibranium, their likely goal was to understand what vibranium was all about, rather than trying to develop it into a weapon.
If they wanted to do that, they could have developed powerful weapons with or without vibranium.
In addition to giving some vibranium to Tony Stark and Mr. Fantastic, Russell also briefly informed them about Silver Surfer and Planet Devourer.
In the comics, both Tony Stark and Mr. Fantastic had clashed with Silver Surfer and Planet Devourer.
In the movies, it was only Mr. Fantastic and the Fantastic Four who had encountered Silver Surfer and Planet Devourer.
Russell informed them of Silver Surfer and Planet Devourer to see if they had any good ideas, and also to prepare them in advance.
Russell didn't intend to confront Silver Surfer and Planet Devourer on his own.
Even though he was a human from Earth, Earth was not just his home alone.
More importantly, even though he was now a Skyfather-level being, he still needed comrades.
Silver Surfer and Planet Devourer were not like the enemies he had faced before. Their threat to Earth was greater than HYDRA and S.H.I.E.L.D. combined by tenfold.
