JFF
Added 2023-12-20 18:35:10 +0000 UTCI made a JFF in the worst case scenario that my patreon goes down. But there's some things you need to know if you want to switch or prefer JFF.
JFF will not upload all of my content. Some files/images are broken links despite being the same name and file type. I've tried over and over and over again to no avail. JFF will just not upload all of my content.
I'm not uploading any HD videos on it because they're incredibly bad quality, with a JFF watermark over them. And I hate that. I work hard on my content and I'm not settling. That's just that.
JFF adds a watermark on my photos as well that I can't seem to remove, and sometimes this huge watermark will cover my diapers.
The content that is uploaded to my HD photos tier on here, will be what is reposted on JFF. Most images are uploaded but not all of them; this isn't in my control. I can't prevent the broken links from happening...
But I will be uploading more casual phone videos and photos to try and make up for this and bring something different to JFF, since I can't even post binkies or diapers on my $5 tier on here anymore either.
When it comes to offering quality and quantity, patreon is just the superior platform in many ways. I can offer polaroids, my discord, organize your benefits and assign people to everywhere and everything they need/paid for. JFF doesn't let me have tiers or much organization. Its a site to post video and photo content. That's it.
But because patreon has been cutting off creators like me... I'm forced to do this or have a backup in case something happens to me.
I'm still trying to figure out how to start a website. This stuff isn't easy.
I'm very sad that this happened around Christmas too but I'm doing my best. I understand not wanting to put your money into a platform that doesn't support this lifestyle. It's a shame that creators then take the hit too. For many, this is what feeds and clothes us.

2023-12-20 19:37:36 +0000 UTCMy unlikely hope is that Patreon reverses course (for similar reasons you bring up with other platforms). But you should definitely have alternatives in mind. If you have any specific requests for info or assistance, you might want to post those as they come up. e.g. you likely have some followers with experience setting up and/or maintaining a web site if thatβs something youβre interested in.
