The house we’ve been renting had electrical outlets painted over. A year after we moved in, they had the exterior painted what I can only describe as dog-shit brown.

Or they purposely use that super cheap paint that comes off with just normal household cleaner and then refuse to return your security deposit cause their shirt paint job still looks like shit when you move out.

Anyone else have their landlord paint over the electrical sockets? Like THICC layers too.

My former landlady tried to argue that she didn't need to replace the hideous, filthy, and oddly lumpy sink in the bathroom because she could just have her husband "repaint it with white boat paint". We compromised when I sourced a replacement sink that was cheaper than the paint would've been. WHO PAINTS A SINK?

LOL Why is this so true!! With the exception of my current apartment, my landlords restored it (it was an old farm house/barn) and built it all by hand but very other place I've ever lived, it just like "f- it, let me just straight up paint this window shut."
