Damn... 6 years and the major story elements are copies from older db media. Damn. It feels like the story took 6 weeks and the visuals took 6 years.

They were kids for half the final battle just so that they could focus less on story and just do the final battle essentially twice. They had goku channel through his forms and losing twice. They had vegeta losing twice. And then he is hit three times with a book and bam... They got ssj4 out of thin air and it isn't even a Toriyama creation in the first place. It is just a bunch of filler and copies of previous dragon ball stories and battles. Ultimately the reason daima is watchable is the visuals. Think about it. Goku becoming ssj4 shouldn't be hype... Because he has done it quite a lot in the past... It is only hype because he is doing it with THIS animation. Vegeta becoming 3 should be hype as we never saw it... But at the same time it mattered little for he surpassed that level as a ssj2 in super. All these things lose meaning when faced with the fact that none of them are new. It's like Gohan unlocking ssj2 AGAIN
