Hey peeps! First of all, thanks for another month of support – I can’t overstate how much it means!

We’re wrapping up August (the links are going out tomorrow) and turning to planning for September. This time around though, we’re not only planning what to insert into which hole, the Fanbox Tier structure is also going to undergo changes.

If you were active on the discord server, you may have seen the announcement and discussion surrounding the changes. If not, here’s what we’re in for.

For a while now I’ve been reconsidering our Tier setup. Considering Fanbox has to be balanced against the game project work I’ve been a part of for a long time, my main concern has always been whether I could offer you guys enough content for what you pay. And to be honest, there were months where I feel this wasn’t the case. 10 bucks is nothing to sneeze at, and the number of illustrations for that price was borderline unacceptable at times.

This is also related to the growth of Fanbox pledges. The current pricing might hinder that growth, and it might be a bit outdated in relation to what others offer for the same price or cheaper on a monthly basis.

So, these two factors are pointing in the same direction – something has to change to make things fairer to current supporters and more attractive to potential new ones.

As such, starting with September, the Tier rewards will shift to the following layout:

1$ Tier

This Tier will remain the same, you will receive roughs, works in progress and update logs for potential longer projects.

3$ Tier

The current 5$ Tier will shift to this level. This means you will get line art & b/w images for single pictures, and the occasional fully colored base pic for CG sets.

5$ Tier

This Tier will become the new reward Tier for finished images, be it a single fully colored piece or a CG set. However, it will not contain the PSD files. Additionally, one pic per month will be decided by voting for the character of your choice in polls. This Tier gives you a voting right for those.

10$ Tier

This Tier will remain a high-end Tier for those who want to support with a bit more. The Tier rewards will remain the same as with the current 10$ Tier (all finished illustrations + PSDs) – as with the 5$ Tier, you will get a vote in polls.

I started this Fanbox as a means of working freely on different types of Illustrations as a counterpart to the stricter workflow that is necessary for a game project. As such, with the lower price for finished images, I will be a bit more at ease trying out different ideas and media.

In that sense, I want you to be (or stay) aware that the illustrations you will receive will vary from month to month – ranging from pin-ups, single illustrations, all the way to CG sets and doujins that would span over multiple months. However, no matter what it ends up being - all will be equally perverted!

Once this setup comes alive in September and everything ends up working smoothly, we will start considering further rewards. One option would be a monthly event where we would organize a stream for sketch commissions, with supporters receiving discounts or a free sketch as a loyalty reward. No promises yet, but hopefully we’ll get to that point soon enough.
