What started out as morbid curiosity quickly escalated into full blown fear as Betilla found herself up to her head in the bottomless muck, her wings barely sticking out and all but quivering to no avail. She was entirely spent, not that she'd be able to move much at all anymore anyway. She had firmly planted herself good and deep now, continuing to sink helplessly deeper, and she could only watch in terror while the mud began to lap at her cheeks and creep up her face...
