2024-05-21 22:34:37 +0000 UTCI remember at this point in the series not knowing what to think of Varys yet. GoT is SO GOOD about flipping on people's expectations for characters! The mighty often fall, and the ones with clear disadvantages often surprise us (just look at Drogo and Dany last season: the man who was never beaten in battle dies from infection, and the abused little sister gets three dragons). The underdogs have to work harder to stay alive, but their hard work often pays off.

Many may not agree but Varys is one of my favorite characters on the show because believe it or not, his loyalty really lies with the realm. Sure he might be sneaky and cunning just like the rest but he truly is a great character and can’t wait for y’all to discover more of him!
