Jamie...Jamie...Jamie...here is our reaction to Game of Thrones Season 3 episode 5 uncut reaction. This was a wild one.

Comments

Taking Tyrion got ned killed without a doubt, and releasing Jamie was very dumb.

Bory

brother they will know that when the show tells them chill out

Bory

I have been waiting for this episode, this for me and many others is the exact moment you start to see Jaimie in a different light.

maxim van der velden

Love the channel and I love watching sweet summer children grow up lol

nick mccoy

lol it’s a made up fictional religion has nothing to do with Christianity or anything. The Lord of light in this is just the most close representation to Christian or torah as it is a one god system it’s Game of Thrones though it’s gonna have its own spin

Austin Hogan

And kidnapping Tyrion off the Kingsroad.

Jennifer Daniels

This hasn't been revealed yet

Chris

She did as well, by allowing Jamie to escape

TD MoBee

Dang that’s crazy!! -Adison

Adison Hardyway

Nah, justice for Cat. She was right about everything and Robb was top proud to admit it to her. She didn't sow any seeds in the camp, Robb did by breaking his vow.

I don't think this spoils anything because I don't know the answer myself, lol. Do you guys think it's possible that Jaime is the dumb one of the Lannister siblings? Meaning he really is all bravado and thrill seeker without much of a brain? Would this make him just another victim of Cersei's manipulation?

Fizz Ukeman

That bath scene is one of the realest in GoT history. (& it made me afraid of Dany’s dad “Mad King” fr.)

Cristina

‼️Some clarification on the timeline and things that have been explained in pieces over the past three seasons: Jamie killing the Mad King Aerys was about 19/20ish years before the events you’re watching right now. The Mad King Aerys’ eldest son and heir, Rhaegar, was killed on the battle field. Rhaegar’s wife and children eventually killed as well. Prior to this the King had sent the Queen, whom was pregnant with Daenerys, and their young son Prince Viserys, to Dragonstone for safety. Jamie kills the King, his father sacks Kings Landing, and Robert Baratheon takes the throne. He then is betrothed to Cersei. Daenerys’ mother, Queen Rhaella, died giving birth to her on Dragonstone during a terrible storm. (Hence why they call her Daenerys Stormborn!) Shortly after she and Viserys were sent away to Essos for protection by those still loyal to the Targaryens. This is why Dany has never known Westeros, and how they survived being killed by Robert due to his hatred for the Targaryens. In season 1 we first meet Viserys and Dany after they’ve been there for years surviving going from place to place. Viserys has grown and is trying to get back his father’s throne, what he feels is his birth right as they are the last Targaryens. Technically speaking, he was the heir to the Iron Throne. We know how that turned out … lol

I feel the same way

Britney

Now you see why Khaleesi/Daenerys’ dad was seen as crazy, cause he was! He also abused her mother (the queen), and in the books Jamie used to try to protect her but what was his word or actions against that of the kings power

Britney

Fun nugget in this episode: Little Finger tells Sansa she's wearing her hair like Marjorie. In S1, her septa told her she was wearing her hair "like a real southerner" (she was copying Cersai's weird Star Wars looking hair styles). The way Sansa chooses to style her hair changes in seasons to reflect who she's currently admiring/emulating/trying to be like. She communicates her loyalties through how she wears her hair (and how she makes her clothes, when she's wearing dresses she's made herself).

The little girls, Stannis' daughter, her name is Shireen. The covering on her face is called "Greyscale" and is a rare and deadly illness in the GoT world. She's lucky to be alive, especially since she caught it at a young age.

Very well said. Sometimes the innocence is looking at things black and white like in a fairy tale. Where we all live in a world of gray. Sometimes our backgrounds, religions, culture, how we were raised, leave us a little unstable when we experience something new or different.l. That's why we have to come to our own understanding But doing in a way that is a quick assessment. It's almost the same reason why you could take your children to church but they could have to come to God themselves and recognize that relationship in their lives and not feel condemned by it.

Mel

the bath scene is one of my favorite dialogue scenes. The acting from Jamie is top tier. And the backstory and how he explains it, it really draws you in.

Ryan Turko

Cersei’s desire to “keep it in the family” lol is based on her narcissism. They look like her and only she is good enough for herself 🥴

kyllo

In Ned’s defence Jamie wasn’t just a kingslayer & backstabber (which in the GOT universe is one of the worst crimes) he was also an OATHBREAKER, he’s main charge was to protect the king so from Ned’s POV Jamie is verrry snakey and dishonourable. Ofcourse jamie was completely in the right to do what he did to the madking especially once you hear his side. But Yeahh just a little extra info and stabbing someone in the back/from behind is also a big Nono (so backstabbers are also looked down upon by most noble houses/family’s)

Rosh_xo

Robb keeps making terrible mistakes when he should listen to Cat. He lost half his army, when he could have kept them and Karstark as a hostage. Cat freed Jaime because the Karstarks were clearly going to kill him to no one's benefit, and now we see that they will commit treason and kill prisoners of war for vengeance, even when the victims are children. Going back to Ned being needlessly bound to a code, even he let the code go for the sake of his daughters' lives, Robb can't let the code go a little bit for the sake of half his army, or for his sisters, but he can let it go enough to marry a girl he likes. 14 year old behaviour, tbh. It's a shame the show aged him up a bit. However, "kill him last so he can watch" goes pretty hard.

A

Cerseis face when he got told he had to marry Sansa has me deaddd

Jess Tyrell

LOUIEEE- I mean grey worm 🤭

Dani💤💤

He actually didn’t mean it in a romantic/marriage way, he‘s solely addressing her status as a highborn lady thus saying they wouldn’t be „friends“ if he came with her to her family. They‘d be lady and lowborn.

Tamia

I like how this episode sets the audience up to forgive Jamie. Earlier, we see Karstark kill those 2 boys. Robb, against the council of others, kills him for it. He does it because killing innocent children is 100% wrong. And the audience is on Robb's side because he didn't do the "kingly thing to do", he did the right thing. And then you get to Jamie's confession of what happened that day. He saved THOUSANDS of innocent men, women, and children. He didn't follow orders and did the morally right thing. And because he did the right thing and Ned saw him, he's a villain. Solid writing.

Slick447

lol “My Lady” was just another way of him saying my wife, it’s also a title for high born women when addressed.

Medusa

When do you think she takes a bath? You read my mind.

Angie

Man I’ve binge watched you guys for the past 2 weeks I’m running out of things to watch while waiting for GOT episodes! Love yall reactions!

jordan reedus

Fun fact: you can actually hear the Lord of Light whisper „innocent“ during the sword fighting scene in the beginning! If you listen closely. This isn’t a spoiler but I do believe the Lord of Light is „real“ in the GOT universe. I mean how else do you explain bringing someone back from the dead lol??

Tamia

I love Jamie! Who here didn’t fall for Jamie?

Remy

They messed up with Loras in the show by making him this... lustful party girl lol. He is a much better character in the books without all that mess. He never "romances" anyone else after Renly dies in the books.

girlboss

For all the bad he has done, Jaime really saved so many lives that day. And the worst part is that none of the people he saved knows he saved them.

girlboss

GOT dayyyy let’s go! ⚔️🖤

Like I said, what makes you guys' reaction to this series so unique is we are getting a reaction through a very particular filter. Being from the Bahamas, I identify. But I will say this. The reason why GOT is so effective is its ability to stir such strong emotions in the watcher. The writer/author does this by presenting the viewer with the most morally questionable situations possible. Then we get to watch how the characters in that situation navigate which AGAIN allows us to reflect upon our own lives. As far as re examination, I would say, YES, you should. No one person is everything, and in most of our lives we are always striving to repent for our many sins... those in the past and those we have yet to commit.

Craig Brown

So for some context, Jamie killed Ares II when he was 17 and Ned was 20. Jamie was 34 and Ned was 37 at the start of the show. Jamie was the youngest person ever named to the Kingsguard, and he was a lot like Sansa when he started that job. He absolutely believed in the fairy tale of the kights in shining armour. Not even 2 years later, he kills the King to save the kingdom, and is forever after branded a devil. For more than half his life, he's been painted as the big bad when all he did was save half a million lives. At a certain point, if you're going to get the grief, you decide to take the gravy, too. Jamie absolutely sunk into his villain era in the same way Tony Montana did. He was very much on some "say goodnight to the bad guy" energy when we first meet him. Also, for a few extra lore sprinkles, Jamie's time spent on the Kingsguard really shattered his perceptions. Just as one example, when he asked his superior officers why they didn't step in to protect the Queen when Ares II regularly SAed her, they told him that they were charged with guarding the queen... except against the King. Last tidbit... the twincest between Jamie and Cersei makes a LOT of sense when you consider that twins bond fiercely to begin with, they lost their mother when they were very young and that created a hard trauma bond on top of that, their father spent their entire lives preaching about the family name and making it clear that nobody was on their level, and Cersei always held a strange amount of power over Jamie, from minute one. He literally came into the world holding on to her ankle. So, they're heavily isolated and raised as nobility in a land where nobles regularly marry cousins, and royals marry their siblings as standard practice, and one of them has a much stronger psychological hold over the other. Add to this mix the fact that both of them are each recognized as breathtakingly beautiful, and it was kind of a perfect storm.

Was about to call it an early night when I saw a new GoT reaction! Love rewatching with you guys!

Deona Grandberry

This episode made me reexamine the GoT list just sayin… -Adison

Adison Hardyway

Dang I missed the live. This is what happens when you have to bring the kiddo to camp orientation. Jumping into this in a few. Thanks for posting this one so quickly! Arya broke my heart into 1,000 pieces this episode. First telling Gendry that she should be his family and then asking if Thoros could bring back her dad. 🥺 And Jaime’s story in this episode really is something. I would not kill my father in the orders of a madman or let him murder innocent men, women and children.

Melissa

Yes!!! My medicine came in just in time! #LetsGo!
