I'm excited to see what happens this season but man this first episode was a hard one...Also S/O to Carianna for joining me for the first episode. Unfortunately she won't be able to make the rest of this season but I may be looking to add Brandon or someone else to join me in this series if everything pans out. I'll keep ya'll posted! 2024-06-19 04:17:37 +0000 UTCYes in the books, Dragons absolutely refused to cross over the Wall as they could sense the terrible magic that laid beyond it, and it symbolically creates/maintains the fire vs ice thing. The man at the beginning at the Wall is Cregan Stark, Lord Eddard Stark's great great great great grandfather. Helaena saying she's afraid of the rats was prophetic of the two "rat catcher" Blood and Cheese who killed her son Jahaerys.

2024-06-17 20:22:48 +0000 UTCI love that they cut out one Daemon answering what they should do if they can't find Aemond, kind of like they did in s1 before he might have called Rhaenyra's dead baby brother "the heir for a day". It leaves a little ambiguity on what actually happened, and what the true intentions were. In either case, absolutely filthy work to cut the head off a little boy like that, and after we just saw him playing in the small council meeting.

2024-06-17 19:24:02 +0000 UTCHalaena is not crazy. She’s been having prophetic dreams since Season One. She foresaw Aemond getting his eye taken and the dragon blowing up the coronation. You should pay attention to what she mutters and her family needs to take her more seriously! She said she was afraid of „the rats“ this episode and that’s exactly who came and killed her son.

2024-06-17 19:08:13 +0000 UTCOnly downside for you is, (and I'm a fan of House of Dragon) watching HOD and GOT at the same time really can make HOD pale in comparison. It's a great show, and big things constantly happen, but seasons 1-5 of Game of Thrones is some of the best television of all time and in a different league for drama quality and storytelling compared to HOD (in my opinion!). If I were you I'd be speeding through Game of Thrones and keeping this on hold but that's just me lol
