2024-07-31 02:14:35 +0000 UTCIt sounds like to me that the Hound's father wasn't just protecting his family from outsiders knowing their business, but never held the mountain accountable and probably pushed the blame onto the Hound. This is why the Hound basically said to Arya "You think you're alone?" The fact is the Hound was alone all his life even with his father and family a part of his life. No one was there to support, encourage, and protect him. This is part of the reason he's so rough like he is. He's taken care of himself his whole life.

But when you really listen to Oberyn words that he said she said to him when she showed him baby Tyrion. she is just a hurt little girl who lost her mother to a medical complication but perceives it as murder. She sees him as the monster who killed her mother and him being a dwarf / typically different looking didn’t help. She just a hurt and abuse girl in a woman’s body who thinks she is smarter than she really is. So it shouldn’t be surprising how bad jeoffory was. He was literally a sociopath and sadist raised by a broken heartless morally confused mother and an abusive, ruthless, powerful fake dad that did what he wanted when he wanted to.

Joffrey directly inherited his mother's evil. It wasn't because he was a product of incest, he was just his mother's son. Ramsey Bolton is insane; Cersei has no such excuse.
