It’s actually easy to understand why he doesn’t want Daenerys to know he was RESURRECTED. He doesn’t want to sound weak because he didn’t bring his self back to life.

She tries really hard not to be like her father and what does that get her? All her allies being killed or being screwed over in other ways. I've literally seen EDN be like "oh yeah kill them all" when it comes to men (John wick) and even when it comes to Jon Snow. And then when she is stern like any king in Westeros for hundreds for years would be people think she's being cruel or crazy.

Even people in the north didn't seem to believe some of the stories about what's out there and they're the closest to it (Old Nan seemed to know something though), believing in their own religions and superstitions. An imminent, world ending army of the dead on its way still probably sounds like a lot.

2024-10-11 08:11:32 +0000 UTCI was never sure why Davos stopped talking about how Jon took a knife to the heart and died for his people (the wildings at the time), but I always figured it was because they didn't want Daenerys and them to be like "so why would your own people kill you?" Like it just make him look bad in general if his own people were willing to kill him. ALSO Sam having to make copies of all the old writings is kind of a reward because his status of trust has gone up he gets to read all that information that's likely not been read in decades. Gets access to all that info.
