Watching this season makes me cringe sooo much because how botched the writing got. WHEN did the raven fly SO quickly from Castle Black to Dragonstone??? AND a dragon being able to fly towards and actually CROSS over the wall???

gayjinchuriki

lmao, Jon snow is the most flat, dull, piece of nothing character in the whole show. Kit Harrington doesn't have the charisma for it.

Ietseatapples

Pure facts. All that would have happened is that more soldiers would have died in the beginning when Jon's dumb ass went galloping to save Rickon - something Sansa specifically said NOT to do. Jon was hardheaded and didn't listen to anybody, and that's why women were always bailing him all out of trouble - Ygritte, Sansa, some random broad at Craster's Keep, Melisandre, Dany (or she would have if his dumb ass had gotten on the dragon)...the man was a fuckup, plain and simple. Once Sansa realized that Jon wasn't going to listen, she did the right thing. (Plus there was no telling whether Littlefinger was going to actually agree to send the Knights.)

Jennifer Daniels

Dude was out taking out walkers like he was running up points on Playstation...WHYYYYY, BRUH????

Jennifer Daniels

Blaming Sansa would only make sense if Jon had actually followed his plan and still lost. But he didn’t—he abandoned it. Assuming he’d have lost anyway due to numbers alone disregards Jon’s own words about battles being won against greater odds. Was he lying, or did he not believe his own strategy was viable? Instead of scrutinizing Jon’s decision to abandon his plan and charge recklessly into Ramsay’s trap, you choose to shift accountability onto Sansa, even though it was Jon’s own choices that made him fail. The real issue wasn't lack of bigger numbers, it was Ramsay’s skill in psychological warfare and Jon’s failure to heed Sansa's warnings. Sansa gave Jon every advantage to not fall into Ramsay's trap the night before the battle. She explained to Jon that Ramsay would play psychological games with him. She cautioned him not to fall into whatever game Ramsay had in mind. She cautioned him that Ramsay isn't the type to fall into traps, he lays them. She tells Jon that Ramsay wants him to make a mistake. She made it clear that Rickon was beyond saving. She explained WHY he was beyond saving: that as the last legitimate male heir to Winterfell, he was a direct threat to Ramsay’s claim and thus would be killed. Sansa couldn’t have known exactly how Ramsay would play his game, but a logical deduction would have told Jon that Ramsay’s actions with Rickon were designed to manipulate him emotionally, to get him to make a mistake, to lay a trap for him. Still, despite her warnings, Jon fell for it. Moreover, if Jon was willing to charge into a trap despite having so few forces, what reason is there to think he’d have behaved differently with the Vale’s support? Ramsay would have still played with him emotionally and if Jon would be this reckless with little numbers, he'd surely be the same with more. Sansa’s secrecy about the Vale troops didn’t make Jon abandon his strategy or act impulsively; his inability to resist Ramsay’s bait did. Shifting all the blame onto Sansa sidesteps the core problem here: Jon didn’t lose because he was outnumbered; he lost because he disregarded Sansa’s insights, underestimated his opponent’s tactics, and let his emotions dictate his actions.

connie

I mean, that's not technically true. Jon was gonna lose that battle cause he was severely outnumbered. If he had Sansa's play from the start it would be different

Iziah

I think Tormand was just joking with Gengry since he’s no innocent

Mel Issa

I mean, ya'll were telling Sansa to pipe down earlier this season because "Jon is the reason she's here" (when that isn't true), so I say let Sansa clear that right on up for ya'll lol, she's the reason they have it back, Jon DID lose the battle, because he ignored Sansa when she told him not to fall into Ramsay's games, and he almost got himself and his people killed.

connie

Facts. Arya would've been killed, especially since she isn't valuable to the Lannisters like Sansa was, who was the next in line to the Northern throne if her brothers perished.

connie

I think Benjen always knew that Jon was his mother's son.

CreepersaurusRexx

So the dragon that perished in this episode was named Viserion—named for her old brother. The Green dragon is Rhaegal named for her OLDER brother. And the Black dragon Drogon. Obviously names for her late husband Drogo. I think there is something poetic about the one name for the weakest of the three, being taken down by the Night King, and that is something that has always stuck with me through the seasons considering how fast Vierys would have turned on her for any circumstance.

CreepersaurusRexx

every line of Sansa and Arya in this episode is cringe.

Ietseatapples

This is completely off topic but I gotta know - what keyboard is that? looks like a nice build :)

hashpipe

The way Sansa spoke to Brienne made me cringe 😬

MumofZack

Fight, flight, or freeze. I think that was what you were thinking

Mitzi McCoy

I grew to hate Sansa and i fully back “Arry”

nick mccoy

Thank you! ❤️❤️ u and Brandon! Can’t wait for more GoT ⚔️

randi

😁🤣

HBK 713 🏄🏾‍♂️

Wishful thinking but a Beric Dondarrion action figure/lighter combo would be a really cool GOT/HBO merch. Press a button, he pulls his sword out and lights my cigarette. 😁

Marisa Pardo

You gotta do the histories and lore videos together man? You guys are better as a duo, just be patient and wait for your dog man

Daniel Williams

Nobody bailed Jon out of Hardhome - he screwed that up all on his own, by his own admission. He was just blessed enough to have Valyrian plot armor - I mean Valyrian steel.

Jennifer Daniels

I agree with a lot of what you're saying but there's no need to ruin it for them let them make up their own minds when everything is over. Also so who bailed Jon out of 1v1 against Wight Walker at Hardhome? He isn't constantly being "bailed out". Anyway I decided not to talk trash about the show everyone who's seen it all knows what happens and knows how it happens. Let them decide for themselves!~

Constantdev

Luckily he has you to fill him in or we can get some solo Bran content! :)

Constantdev

Can’t wait for the next one 😆

Vanessa Christina

They needed more episodes 😫 Why rush perfection

Desteny Alatorre

lol I feel ya! He wasn't available the days the H&L were scheduled to be recorded is all. I definitely will keep the GoT episodes flexible to make sure we can finish all of those together though. -Adison

Adison Hardyway

Hahah I'm the same way Bran is if you watching something without ME I will be petty and watch by myself! This one was great I am so ready for y'all to see the finale!

Constantdev

Happy birthday!! -Adison

Adison Hardyway

lol it's because he wasn't available the times that were set to watch it. -Adison

Adison Hardyway

We need that finale ASAP or I'm gonna cry

Gabi

Game of Thrones on Ice is crazzzyyy 😩🤣

Chrissy S

I have NEVER been madder at Jon and maybe even any character in general when his stupid behind didn’t get on the dang dragon. CUZ WHAT ARE YOU DOING???? SLAYING LITTLE SKELETONS FOR WHAT LIKE HE DIDNT HAVE TO WALK AWAY! And because him Dany lost a dragon A WHOLE FRICKIN DRAGON, not to mention one of her kids. And they added the dragon to the army I was STRESSED and yelling at my tv.

AllyBoo124

Happy Birthday!! October Name Day Squad rise up!! 🥳

Cristina

This reaction was gold! I was laughing so hard. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait for the next one!

Anaya

@Ad why u not watching the Lore with Bran?!? He wanna know! 😂😂

Erin L Terry

Happy name day! (Remember, what a (wo)man sows on [her] name day, (s)he reaps all year.)

Jennifer Daniels

I mean i love Jon but best written is a stretch. Let’s not forget all of season 8 and half of season 7 is pretty much all “I dunt wunt it” and “shes muh queen” lololol…gotta admit D&D did him dirty

Alecia S

I'm not the one whining over simple observations (with a broken shift key, apparently), naming myself after fictional characters and posting his picture as my own. That's you. And I'll take it as seriously as I want to. What are you going to do about it? Sulk? "Best written character". Don't make me laugh. NONE of them are well-written as of season 7. Not Arya sounding like a jealous little girl as she cries about pretty dresses from ages ago. Not Dany, who has apparently forgotten just WHO she is fighting for. Not Sansa, who has yet to tell Baelish to fuck ALL the way off. Not Tyrion, who is unrecognizable by this point. Not Bran, who...well, who cares? If Jon is the best written character, I'd hate to see the worst.

Jennifer Daniels

Ur taking this too serious😂 it doesn’t matter cause Jon is still the best written character or one of the best whether u hate him or not.

Jon snow

That's true in the book, but you notice that she never says this on the show? On the show, she only refers to the health of Khal Drogo, but the show took the missing part of Mirri's curse ("When your womb quickens again, and you bear a living child”) and made it canon. I wonder why?

Jennifer Daniels

Tell your mama to cry about it. I'll write what I want when I want unless a moderator or the channel creators say otherwise. Go wait until ANOTHER woman shows up to save Jon's sorry ass, okay?

Jennifer Daniels

Buddy relax it’s not that deep. Jon still the best character in the show cry bout it.

Jon snow

MAN this hurt too. I'm over this mane (still gonna watch unfortunately)

Rey

Re: Uncle Bejnjen Remember that the magic that made Benjen undead was the same magic that kept him from going back to the Wall. His Night's Watch vows, however, forced him to the Watch until his death. Therefore, he was no longer able to uphold his vows (certainly not as First Ranger). and was doomed to walk between two worlds for the rest of his life - possibly forever. The man was ready to die, I think. Annnnd now we can add Dany to the list of women who have had to bail Jon out of some shit (Ygritte, Craster's wife, Melisandre, Sansa...) The man just isn't that bright. Great soldier, HORRIBLE commander. Remember when Old Man Mormont sent Thorne to KL in S1 to set the remains of the wight at Joffrey's feet? Well, in the book, Thorne was set aside for weeks and when he got his chance, the hand (I think) was all dried up and useless. Now Jon wants to risk all these lives on the chance that they can even catch a wight AND that Cersei will hear them out? And why the HELL is he out there fighting like he's trying to rack up some damn XP points in a video game!? Dany should DRACARYS'd the fuck outta Jon for that shit! Not to mention all this plot armor! Gendry running all the way to Dany in just a few hours? Uncle Benjen showing up out of nowhere? The wights taking those big-ass chains underwater? (D&D #KindaForgot that the wights can't swim - remember Hardhome?) This is why seasons 7 and 8 are so despised. They're fine on first viewing and you'll have lots of fun making it to the end, but they just don't hold up well. D&D were all out of source material from the books and had to rely on their own ideas, and it shows.

Jennifer Daniels

There’s four, but I know three: fight, flight and freeze. I freeze 🫠

Ashley Pickton

Arya #MustveForgot (GOT reference) her early role in all of this - when she put her hands on Joffrey (a crime punishable by death) instead of shutting her mouth while Micah took a little cut on the cheek. Absolutely sucks to be him, but at least he would be alive (along with Lady and Nymeria). Not to mention that from the time Arya left King's Landing, she was protected - first by Yoren, then Tywin, then the Brotherhood, then the Hound, and finally Jaqen (who also got her out of Harrenhal). The Hound should've given Arya more of his backhand so her smarmy little ass could remain humble. (And bringing up Lyanna was just stupid - she's the lady of Bear Island, not the queen's captive.) Meanwhile, Sansa was being beaten by Joffrey, tormented by Cersei, manipulated by Petyr or raped by Ramsay. Even now she's forced to walk a razor-thin line because she's in debt to Littlefinger (the Knights of the Vale are technically his men). She also has to quell those same men because they are ready to cast Jon aside to crown Sansa - something she shut down right away but Arya ignored. Damn right Arya couldn't have survived what Sansa did - they would've killed her little loudmouthed ass before she ever left King's Landing.

Jennifer Daniels

Come on with the next one! Please and thank you 😊

Joi Rene

Y’all the witch cursed her in season 1. She won’t have another child until the sin rises in the east and sets in the west…ie. never😭

nay

Yay I feel like it’s been a minute. Can’t wait for the finale. Also, just a heads up that the next and last season is going to be even shorter with only 6 episodes.
