Game Of Thrones 8X2 RAW REACTION

This episode makes me feel uncomfortable because things seem to be going to well. I'm not sure if there is an episode where I have seen so many of the differing storylines converge all together. Hope ya'll enjoy this reaction because I'm nervous about what will happen next...

Here is a link to the YouTube edit: https://youtu.be/Dwpi2SZqMz4

Comments

Ik this is an old reaction but i also was weirded out by the GendryArya thing cause im assuming she's like 15-17 & he's in his late 20s/early 30s but from what ive seen ppl say online she was 18 & he was 21-23

Dante

Man how many people does Pod have to kill before you admit he can fight

Matthew Cronin

I agree them talking too much over dialogue but in the scene bran telling about dragon they actually listened and even paused saying bran should've kept that one on himself. They just forget it guess.

Veli-Jussi Hirvonen

But also they say Gendry looks older than he is because he is Robert's son after all and that man was brawny. I would suspend my disbelief for the sake of the show that he was about 18 or 19 when he and Arya met.

kelly

I also think that because Maisie is so small in stature, that she gives young anyway plus her face is young looking. I can see how it threw people off but I was happy for her!

kelly

The Unsullied goes where Greyworm's little worm 🪱 says go. 🤣😂 Greyworm is Big Worm now! In my Smokey from Friday voice "Big Worm"!

Camillionaire

She is 18 and he is 23

CreepersaurusRexx

The thing that I try to keep in mind about it all, is that Cersei being Cersei, probably learned REALLY early on about manipulation to get what she wants. I'm damn near certain she guided them onto this path, twisting him from a child to be "hers."

Kyo

To me I've always viewed it similar to marrying your childhood sweetheart. They were both kids and the total time the show covers is around 10 years ish. I shipped the two of them a lot because the clear caring between them from early on, with him being protective of her, but was hoping for a more wholesome and romantic confession, not fuck me before we die...

Kyo

It really was a beautiful scene and I sort of think some of the depth was taken a little too lightheartedly. This was clearly a dream of hers since she was a child and knew it would never be because of society's standards. She tried to bury it deep and lock it away but it still guided all of her actions and lifestyle. The innate wish to be acknowledged as a true peer, with honor. This was a moment of a lifelong dream actually coming true. It hit so fucking deep.

Kyo

I always get emotional when Brienne gets knighted. That's my girl and she truly did deserve it!!!

BrittneyRave

It's not about what Jon wants though, everyone would see Jon as the true king instead of Dany regardless of whether he wants to rule or not.

Forevertyad

Nah, the origins are unknown. All we do know is that it is about Jenny of Oldstones, the wife of Duncan Targaryen (who incidentally is Maester Aemon’s brother Aegon V’s son)

CS

I'm pretty sure Bran can only see the past and what is presently happening. That's why they referred to him as mankind's memory or something like that.

Slick447

“Gendrick” Lamar

Branden

Mannnn let my girl get it on y'all 😂 tomorrow is not promised😭

The Lilly

I can't lie, I felt the same way when this aired but I got over it since it might be their last night😂

The Lilly

That would be pretty cool! I wonder if they'd be into it especially since it's a real historical event.

Constantdev

I completely agree with all that! And to your point about Sansas experience, Arya said she wouldn't have survived what Sansa survived and I think that's so true. I watched a YT video and someone said Arya wouldn't have survived Sansas "first experience" (or even Kings Landing) because she would have just tried to fight and kill everyone and would have gotten herself killed in the process almost immediately and that made so much sense to me. Also Brienne is just a national treasure in GoT universe.

Constantdev

I wish y’all would post 8x3 😭💔

Carley

Adison be paranoid 😭😭

Julian Thompson

I have been holding my breath for episode 3. I am purple.

Martin

Like I’m so sorry “lemme find out you can pee again” is so insane ??? Like 💀💀💀💀

Nisa Faro

Adison’s shock value humor combined with Brandon’s never failing “that’s jacked up…” response is top 10 ten best comedic bits off this channel 🤣🤣put “that’s jacked up” onna shirt immediately

Nisa Faro

Bran knows the future but bran can't mess with it.. free will. He has to let life play put the way it does.. hence, Hodor! He can't mess with his all seeing power. Ayra is Lile 19 ish at this point... the show takes like a 10 year span so she's 10 at the beginning

Abigail Buck

I'm pretty sure that the song that Pod sings was written by Rhaegar, Dany's older brother

Zackary Ingold

Arya and Gendry was long-awaited.

Nikki Milbourne

It was the Lil ARYAAAA for me. 🤣

Jade

The next one GET BACK MUST BE HAD ⚔️🗡️🤺💀

Jade

I think jon would be fine with letting her rule though, he doesn’t want to be a king anyway. King Consort would probably be totally fine for him

Festina

I’ve been waiting for this!!!!

Bellamy Blake

Loool not Brandon and his fresh twists and bun 🤣

KayleeSabrina

Arya is 18 guys in the show lol It's just weird cause you have seen Arya and the actress Maisie since she was 12. But she is an adult and adults have sex plus it is possibly her or Gendry's last night. The only guy she trusts or has been attracted to is Gendry. So it makes sense that they got it on. You guys just see Arya as your own sister or daughter so that's why it is weird for ya'll.

lauren j.

Love Jamie. They will too.

Remy

Gendry told Arya in season two. “ you would be my lady” they have always loved each other. It’s not new. The generals are Gillys brothers . I might add house Baratheon and Stark were in a way joined.

Remy

You know nothing Jon snow!

Slick447

Damn lmao a jon snow account defending jamie🤣🤣🤣

kingBD

Jaquen h’gar would destroy both While eating Joffrey’s cake

Demon Rick

Directors a sick man^^

Demon Rick

That was beautiful! Made me emotional! 🥹

Candice T.

Though it's somewhat irrelevant to the show itself, you guys need to check out interviews with both the actors that play Brienne and Jamie (Gwendolyn Christie and Nicolaj Coster-Waldau). They are absolutely hilarious together. They're friendship off screen is hysterical.

Fizz Ukeman

I doubt y’all will see this comment but I just wanted to say that y’all are probably my top 3 favorite reactors. Jamie is a tough character. The show starts off with you definitely hating him and not able to see how you could ever like him. He’s probably my favorite character just because of his arc. He loves someone that he shouldn’t love. It’s weird. But it doesn’t change the fact that he loves her. He wants so bad to be a good person and a good knight but I think that he thinks that he’s not worthy of being a good person because he loves who he loves. He just wants to be a good man like Jon or Ned.

Clint

That was amazing! Nice edit!

Shaylamhrs

"She big, I'm big, our kids going to the NBA!" ...Listen as a 6ft woman I screamed at this....😂😂😂😂

Ayak

“I had to pop out and show Gendry” 😂

Bigboibarber

Right because in season 2, Arya looks like she’s 10-12 but Gendry looks like he’s at least 20 or 21. By season 8, I figured Arya was at least 18 but I thought Gendry was in his late 20s or early 30s. If there really was only a 5 year difference, Gendry in season 2 should’ve looked as old as Jojen Reed in season 4. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Marisa Pardo

Grey Worm and Missandei are so in sync, when you consider how their childhoods were so brutally similar. Yet they have the tenderest of love stories

Lindymay

Once again another great reaction! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 can’t wait for the coming episodes I wish yall luck in the wars to come 😂😂😂

TheChymera

Because people would see him as the rightful king and not king consort. Also he was not only elected as king but also on paper, by law, w/e is SUPPOSED to be king. She just took everything she had and her people like her because she gave them freedom. But they still didn't elect her they just chose to follow her.

Constantdev

I think the casting choice for Gendry was way off. He's 14 and she's about 10 when they meet in the books.

A

I never felt like the show made their age seem like that big of a gap at all. She's just a runt and it always felt like they were both more or less teenagers. 5 or so year age gap in the show seems believable to me idk.

Constantdev

They just hate Jamie at this point😂 He left cersei, apologized to bran, is fighting with the good side and he’s still on the Got list

Jon snow

Arya feels like my lil sis, I love her to death, it’s definitely awkward to watch. On the other hand though, it’s a nice change to see a young woman on this show have autonomy over her sexuality and choose to have her first sexual experience with someone she likes and trusts. Not a thing we often see on these shows, I mean in contrast look at what happened to poor Sansa 😣 so I’m happy Arya got her moment on her terms. Brienne getting knighted is one of favorite scenes on the show 🥹 it was so sweet the way her smile lit up her face.

Ailene Evangelista

Would love a reaction to the movie Titanic if you guys haven’t seen it already!

Riy

Ok so I googled Arya’s age in season 8 and it said she was 18. Then I googled Gendry’s age in season 8 and it said he was 23. The book evidently reveals a 5 year age difference between them. The show made it seem like they were 10+ years apart. ALSO, Jon and Daenerys relationship is the reverse Rhaenyra and Daemon from HOTD.

Marisa Pardo

Highly recommend watching and reacting to this video before you watch episode 3 if you haven't seen ep 3 yet!! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IdH1Hjy0ggg&t=4s&pp=ygUjZXZlcnl0aGluZyB3ZSd2ZSBiZWVuIHRocm91Z2ggenVyaWs%3D

connie

Ok fellas I'm sure everyone and their mother have told you but - next episode: room lights darkened as much as possible & tv brightness and saturation up.

bits

This is basically a fan service episode imho to let us have goodbyes with everyone before the series wraps up. Very well done, great moments with each character.

bits

I don't think she wants to share the crown; she'd marry him if he'd agree to be her consort but she wants to rule alone imo.

bits

“Is Arya even 18?” “That’s certainly what people are going to google.” - Pitch Meeting 😀

Susan B

🤢

Bellamy Blake

Man Adison talk too much. Ruined one of the best moments in the show (Brienne getting Knighted).

Seth Daryoushfar

If y’all would’ve been quiet just a tiny bit more, you could’ve heard bran tell them that the night king has one of her dragons. Or pause the show while y’all talking, but I’m talking over it you guys miss great gems… often.

Melinda

This is PERFECT timing!! I hope episode 3 is coming soon! #TurnTheBrightnessUpOnYourTvOrMoniter

Violet

She's not on her Targaryen shit fr. Maybe Viserys' abuse put her off the incest?

A

I don’t understand why dany is bothered by jon’s true identity as they could simply marry and rule together 🤓

Festina

The way I need episode 3. I have been waiting for this one since they started. Lawd

Kimm

A word of advice for episode 3: turn up the bright and contrast. It will be necessary

Jerard Meadows

🙏🏾 -Adison

Adison Hardyway

I’m not arguing that! But what about Jamie with both hands??? 👀 -Adison

Adison Hardyway

one of my favorite episodes of the whole show <3

Josefin Jönsson

Grey worm would destroy one handed Jamie wit out breaking a sweat

Santiago Butler

Maisie Williams (who plays Arya) is from Bristol, where I was born. I was living there in 2019 when this season aired, and I had the privilege to meet and chat to her for about 20 minutes at a party. Season 8 had just finished at the time and I asked her about her scene with Gendry. She said that it had been partially her idea, as she didn’t want viewers to view her as a child anymore, and fe,t it was a natural consensual progression of her femininity. We spoke about how we both thought that if we thought were going to die at 18, we would want to experience intimacy before we passed the pearly gates. She truly embodied Arya, the way she spoke about the character, you could tell she would always be a part of her. All this to say, Maisie was more than comfortable shooting that scene, they handled it really well (closed set, intimacy directors). Can’t believe we’re almost at the end, thanks for the reaction guys!

hannahbee99

Great reaction!

VictoriaM

Even though Arya was supposed to be 18 (or slightly older) it was still uncomfortable watching her in a love scene. We were first introduced to her as a little kid so it makes sense to feel some cringe.

Jennifer Clark

Just so y’all know the actress who played Arya was 14 when the show started and therefore 22 when she filmed this scene. Her character was 11 when the show started and 18 during this scene

vstre002

Definitely

vstre002

I think Sansa getting a rape scene as soon as her actress turned 18 was much worse. EDIT: And to confirm for the boys, Maisie Williams was over 20, and Arya was supposed to be over 18.

A

Fr

june

I had the same reaction at Arya. I was like “not my baby girl.” She’s an adult tho 😭.

Nat

I paused it during that scene to make sure she was 18. Lol

Kim Cottingham

Y’all can’t be that bothered by an 18 yr old not wanting to die a virgin! Come on!

vstre002

This was one of the best episodes of season 8😭😭 it’s a feel good episode

Funkystar

she had to pop out and show Gendry😂😂

Asid Brooks

we need episode 3 tn too!

Asid Brooks

Clutch!

Asid Brooks

agreed! 9pm, bottle of wine

Martin

Perfect timing
