The good thing is that it is still early in the year, however that does put the bar pretty high for other comedy films.

That guy, Nick Nolte, has been old for forever. He was old when I was a kid in the 80s. The first movie I remember him from is 48 Hours with Eddie Murphy. He was also good in Cape Fear and Lorenzo's Oil. He's got some movies that he's not crazy in, he just plays crazy well. in Lorenzo's Oil he plays a father trying to develop a cure/treatment for his son. It's based on the true story.

The meta commentary about Hollywood is well done, I really think thatβs why it works. One of my favorites, just gets funnier.

2025-01-22 02:49:07 +0000 UTCRobert Downy Jr's character was a jab at Daniel Day-Lewis who takes his method acting to the level that he stays in character throughout the movie's shooting. Some of his co-stars only know Daniel as the character he played in the film they were in with him. I thought Downy was hilarious and would have paid to see him in a one-man show in that character.

I rewatched years later and realized that was him and it made an already funny moment so much funnier. In my opinion its the funniest part of the movie other than the "What do you mean, you people?"
