* The title of the episode, "Chupacabra", refers to the fact that on his first night in the camp outside of Atlanta, Daryl claims he once saw a chupacabra while squirrel hunting. * It also refers to the chupacabra taking the form of his abusive older brother, Merle, as a representation of his inner demons. * The episode's exact runtime is 00:43:02. * The snake that frightens Daryl's horse is an Eastern Copperhead, which is native to Georgia, the main setting of most The Walking Dead media. * When reaching the farm, Daryl comments that this is the third time Rick has pointed his gun at him. The other two were in S1EP3 "Tell It to the Frogs" and S1EP5 "Wildfire" * Michael Rooker (Merle Dixon) appears in this episode as a hallucination, after being absent for eight episodes. * This episode marks the first time that brothers Daryl and Merle have appeared on-screen together in the same episode, despite Merle being only a hallucination. * Daryl sees the hallucination of Merle with his right hand still intact. * Daryl previously hallucinated Merle in Polksville in The Walkikg Dead: Survival Instinct * Laurie Holden (Andrea) received death threats from the fans after Andrea shot Daryl in this episode. In response to this, Reedus took a picture with Holden and posted it on his Instagram, telling the fans that he is okay. * Although not mentioned by name, this is the first on-screen appearance of Operation Cobalt in canon. It is later explained and given its name on the FTWD episode titled S1EP5 "Cobalt" | * When Daryl dismounts the horse to get the doll, his crossbow is not loaded with a bolt. But when he gets down in the creek, the crossbow is loaded. Then when mounting the horse, the crossbow is no longer loaded again. * When Daryl is hallucinating about seeing his brother, his face and mouth are clean at first, but then really dirty again, every other time the camera switches back to the close-up of his face. * The highway and steep hill from which Shane and Lori watch the bombing of Atlanta does not exist in real life.

I will be regular on the 2nd week of every month for 4 months & just because my kid comes home for Xmas, now it’s the 3rd week. And it’ll stay that way until I sync up with someone else. I’ll have cycles back 2 back just to sync w/my sister bc I saw every day for a week. This is not overlapping. This is coming off one’s normal schedule to be in line with another person.

And also her influencing “rick v shane” negatively. But all of that really boils down to her trying to navigate getting out of Shane’s grip for both her n Carl in my opinion. And she shoulda spilled the beans about her n Shane WAYYY sooner

2025-02-07 09:07:30 +0000 UTCExperiencing God is very subjective, and I do believe. I think the problem with the anecdotal evidence is that people don't specify what they mean by cycles syncing. One of my sisters tells me our cycles are syncing when hers starts before mine or mine starts just before hers, or they happen to overlap in any way, but that's something that naturally happens with 2 regular cycles that are slightly different. I'm not going to bring out the calendar diagrams, but you can imagine.

Also, I will say, I am not a Lori “fan” per se, but she does not deserve the excessive hate especially no where near as much as Shane. She makes A LOT of mistakes but I also think ppl misinterpret some of her actions/reactions and just don’t understand her character in certain moments which makes the hate worse.

Daryl wasn't hallucinating that Meryle was there because of drugs...because he wasn't on drugs lol. He was hallucinating in this episode because he was severely injured, had lost blood, had probably hit his head several times too. No, Meryle's hallucination brought up shrooms because he was teasing Daryl about the time he claimed to have seen a chupacabra, saying he saw it because he was tripping at the time. I think the writers included that specifically probably as an interesting/funny/ironic moment: a hallucination calling someone out for hallucinating. Overall, though, I think the reason for having Daryl's subconscious version of Meryle show up and berate him into surviving was to show us more about their dynamic. In particular, I think it's probably supposed to suggest that the reason Daryl has such a better morality than his brother is in part because Meryle being so awful to him his whole life ironically spurred him to be the opposite.

Most women have slightly different cycles so the dates don't line up, e.g. one has a 28-day cycle and one has a 30-day cycle, or one has a steady cycle and the other fluctuates, then it may appear like their cycles are converging because the dates change every month. Source: I have 3 sisters, and I went to school. EDIT: Reading the comments, there's a lot of anecdotal evidence for it because of what I mentioned. I'm also a woman if that helps.
