I think killing Karen and David was wrong of course but I think Carol was defending who she believes to be most important...the original family. The time jump is roughly 6 months after the Woodbury fall so I understand she still saw them as outsiders. It doesn't make it right....but I can't say I would never kill someone to protect my family. They were the first to fall sick and they were probably going to die from the illness but there were better options. Quarantine was the right choice.

Elderberries are high in fiber and vitamin C. They are known to help treat cold and flu symptoms and can increase your immune system. My family takes elderberry supplements regularly. Being sick like that....it could be viral. Antibiotics may not help. Best to treat the symptoms and keep everyone stable as possible until it takes its course. I'd give antibiotics just in case it is bacterial but if you don't have them what else can you do? As far as Carol goes with teaching the kids how to kill Walkers, fight, and survive....I think she's right. This isn't our world where kids live and have fun. It's kill or be killed. She should have discussed it with the council and made it known but they definitely need to learn. She wouldn't have to do that with my kids....I would've already taught them. After Woodbury and the Governor.....no one is safe. Hershel is the best person....so kind, loving, and willing to put himself in danger to help others, however, I think he's underestimated the importance of staying ready and armed. Being prepared is the best defense against the unknown.

Hey Guys, what Carol did was absolutely wrong. She killed two people who was already in quarantine, so she went to a restricted area and killed them. Then she stood there clutching her non existent pearls while Rick and Tyrese waled on each other. That is unforgivable. And I’m glad you’ll peep that Carol in very underhanded. She’s sneaky. I’m not a fan of carol and haven’t been since she came after Rick about her daughter when she should have jump that railing and went after her too. She better be glad that Tyrese didn’t know it was her bcuz the way he was acting he would have strangled her for sure. Hershel’s words is always on point.

rick is also on the council but he chooses to abstain. that’s why hershel was trying to get him to come to the meetings so he can start contributing as a leader again. at the end of the day yes there’s a council and they make decisions together but rick is still the default leader. they still treat him as such.

If they were already dead or about to die, then Carol would have said something. She wouldn't have tried to hide it. A simple explanation of them choking on their own blood or whatever, and she put them down wouuld have sufficed, but she didn't. There's no guarantee that it wouldn't spread because they never figured out where it came from. One of the walkers outside the gate already had it. It could have been the food, the water, airborne, animal feces, etc. Karen & David were quarantined. That was the whole point of trying to stop the spread. Killing them wouldn't have made a difference because of the contact they'd already been. Look how easily viruses are transferred. Even if it didn't act fast as it did when transferred, symptoms could have started showing up days later which is very common...

Yes, Carol murdered 2 people. But what if we knew for sure no more spread if they died or that all infected who get no treatment die quick? Maybe they were dead anyways and she just sped things up a little. Yikes. Another problem here - why wasn't anyone keeping watch after Patrick spree? (Adison has rightly said that someone should keep watch when folks sleeping. Maybe Ty since he didn't like no other job.) Or why not locked in together or separately? (Spacious accommodations on death row.) One could have zombified the other right quick. Those 2 were prolly not long for their human lives. (Can't say not long for the world in TWD world!)

tyrese lost hella points with me when he flipped out like that. he is so self centered. the world doesn’t stop bc you’re in pain. he’s not the only person who has lost someone. to turn on your own people? ridiculous. even when rick was going through it he pushed glenn but he didn’t raise his hand to him bc he even knew he didn’t deserve it. all tyrese saw was red which i get, but him and karen hadn’t been involved that long. rick lost his WIFE and childhood best friend and he didn’t attack anyone or the group. daryl lost his brother, carol lost her child i mean come on now. him putting his hands on rick was crossing the line. tyrese deserved that ass whopping PERIOD idc. he wanted to poke the bear so that’s what he gets. grief can make someone lose all logic and they become the danger/problem. it’s not fair but it is what it is. beth fades into the background a lot but she does a lot for the group… morale wise. her singing keeps the vibrations high. she has a natural positive attitude and she’s helped people in small but profound ways. and she’s judith’s caretaker, never was asked just did it bc she knew it had to be someone. her saying “we don’t get to be upset. we all got jobs to do” like wow. she’s made so much progress since season 2. she’s so much stronger now 👏🏽 and i usually agree with hershel on everything but i don’t agree with him saying carl didn’t have to shoot that walker. what if you don’t kill it and it kills another human? at the end of the day it’s still them versus us. gotta take as many of them out as you can. could’ve used a melee weapon to avoid using a bullet but nah all zombies need to be put down. also i was genuinely shocked that it was carol. i wasn’t even considering her as a suspect. you gotta respect her gangsta tho cause she admitted it straight up and kept it pushing 😅 rick is such a good cop bc idk how he figured it was her. i mean maybe there weren’t that maybe people left so it was process of elimination but still. he be on it mans is super observant and intuitive.

Honestly Rick did exactly what cops are trained to do make a personal connection and try to get them to think clearly. Clear early touched Tyrese and did not deserve to be hit Daryl was aggressive AF when he first touched Tyrese so i would completely agree with you if Tyrese hit Daryl. But Rick was calm collected tried to make a personal connection and tried to get him to think clearly.. yes he's emotional and that's warranted and understandable that he was to hit something anything so I think even Rick would have forgiven the first hit but Tyrese doubled down and punched Rick again while he was already down... don't forget it wasn't very long ago Rick was lost and as Big H pointed out people fall off the wagon. Rick wasn't going to hit back till Tyrese second punch WHILE he was down... in the apocalypse and crazy town its completely understandable for Rick to snap and beat the breaks off Tyrese. Notice even Tyrese is big enough to admit he was wrong to. Touching someone doesn't mean you can throw hands especially if that person is trying to help and not physically harming you or trying to harm you. Both men are honorable to admit they let their emotions wild so nothing but respect for both characters

My brother and I rewatched this when we were quarantined together back in 2021. This is such a good episode but it also gives me a sick feeling. He ended up having Covid and giving it to me lol! Understand, Rick is no longer in charge of the group at all. He's just a resident like the rest. He has no authority anymore because he gave up his position to be the farmer for Carl. Honestly, although Tyrese was highly emotional in the beginning, I can't completely blame Tyrese for attacking. Why on Earth did Daryl & Rick keep touching him? After he shoved Daryl off for grabbing him the first time, that should have been it. He clearly doesn't want to be touched. Tyrese wasn't touching or harming anyone, so he should have been left alone in that regard. Daryl got hemmed up because he grabbed Tyrese again. Now Daryl may have possibly been de-escalating the situation while he was hemmed up from his mistake, but Rick messed that up. Rick being a cop should know better. Not only did Rick touch Tyrese, who literally got Daryl hemmed up for grabbing, unnecessarily on him twice, but he's telling a man who just found the woman he loves killed and burnt to a crisp to "calm down". Sir! You should know better than that. That is NOT how you descalate a situation like. How CAN you tell someon in this position to "calm down". He has every right to be as big mad as he is. Who in their right mind would calm in Tyrese's position. It comes across as patronizing, even if it wasn't their intent. You're agitating a person who's already in a highly emotional state. So not only were you crossing his personl boundaries but continuously touching him when he's physically made it very clear that he doesn't want to be touched. If he wants to scream, shout, and demand justice in this moment, then let him get that out. But Tyrese wasn't hurting anyone by doing that. And like Rick said, he'd been there before. This is the same dude that had GLEN of all people people up and practically choking after he was checking on Rick after Lori's death. The on top of everything, Rick started attacking Tyrese while Daryl is trying to hold Tyrese's arms to stop him from further attacking, so Tyrese couldn't even defend himself at that point becauee it turned into an unintentional double team on Daryl's end. This was definitely one of those times Hershel was needed because this was handled all wrong imo...
