Good reaction. "I think you're gonna need a bigger boat" iconic line.

Jonathan Blaze

Most people don't realize that Hooper is Richard Dreyfuss.

Dolorous Jess

PG was a lot different in the 70s and 80s. PG stand for parental guidance suggested. I read the book last year sometime and it was awful. The mayor was being threatened by the mob to keep the beaches open and Brody's wife seduces Hopper. Brody's wife was completely different in the book.

Dolorous Jess

I hope you guys watch Jaws 2 it was good I liked it a lot and like everybody else said deep blue sea ❤️

Queen S

Oooo Brandon needs to watch The Meg!!!

Ha'ane Rose 🦋

This movie made me terrified of sharks as a kid and I was convinced if I was alone in a pool a shark would pop outta nowhere and eat me 😂

Wolfy! Wolfi! Wolfé!

Have you guys seen “Into the Blue 2005” with Jessica Alba and the late Paul Walker?

SonjaB29

Great reaction as alway maybe shallow or fall maybe even deep water horizon movie that base on true event they’re pretty good too

KennethLu

Dredd (2012), 100% it's action but it's got jokes too

Michael Slattery

USS Indianapolis is an amazing story. This movie is what really made it popular. The feud between Dreyfuss and Shaw isn’t true tho. It’s been highly dramatized throughout the years. They would joke around with each other but at the end of the day it was all respect between them.

Marco

Deep blue sea gives me so much anxiety lol. It's very good though!

Sabrina

The PG rating was so they could squeeze as much people into the summer showings in the theaters and doing so they made a bunch of money

Austin Hogan

Great reaction , I feel another great shark movie to watch is 47 meters down. (Kinda more suspenseful)

Nuni

great reaction. best other shark movie= Deep Blue Sea. 1999, Samuel L. Jackson, Thomas Jane

Michael Slattery

Could we get some Jurassic park as we build up to the newest one next month? 👀

Russ

“You’re gonna need a bigger boat” one of the best ad-libs in movie history. Robert Shaw (Quint) was a known drunk and him and Richard Dreyfuss (Hooper) did not get along while filming due to Dreyfuss throwing Shaw’s drink overboard one day. The USS Indianapolis scene is FAMOUS, and a true story of the sinking of the ship. Shaw originally wanted to do it intoxicated but none of that footage could be used. He called Spielberg all remorseful that night asking for another try and he filmed it in one take the next day.

Erin

Im still hoping y’all gonna watch The Hostiles, Dredd or Jack Reacher ❤️

Ashley

Not attacked directly by a shark. But I was on holiday, snorkelling in the Maldives (20 years ago) and a small 3ft shark attacked the school of fish I was floating in. Pretty hairy moment. Got the heck out of there fast. It was a black tip shark, not one of the dangerous ones, but a shark is a shark and I didn't stick around. I wasn't even in deep. I'm 5ft 3 and the water came up to my neck.

70% of our Earth is made up of water. The human race has only discovered 5% of the ocean. It’s not my territory — I stay away from it. Respectfully. 🙃 Megalodon probably still exists somewhere deep down. 🤣

Tyrademi

My favorites are Jaws, Deep Blue Sea and The Shawllos which is good and base off real events 👍🏾

HBK713🏄🏾‍♂️

This is definitely a classic but Deep Blue Sea will always be my favorite shark movie. Thanks for the reaction ❤

PG back then was different from what it is now. Keep in mind that Shrek and the Cat in the Hat were also PG when they were. came out lol. Also, there was a time when studios were releasing horror films with a PG-13 rating, and some of them for sure should've had an R rating lol

Zaki Payne

Deep blue sea fs!

Christina

Now I hope they do bc I don’t even remember it at all!

Christina

I never noticed the guy at the start is a doctor when the kid is in shock lol

Dan

According to Spielberg himself, that was an actual meteor that shot across the sky in act 3, it was just accidentally caught on film while they were shooting. Crazy.

MattPalmer237

F.Y.I. Those shooting stars were real.

IsisAtlantis

I would say the red light streaking across the sky could be an Easter egg for Close Encounters of the Third Kind, but he (Stephen Spielberg) did that after this. Still pretty interesting. I love all of his films.

Jaime Hernandez

Hope y’all know that back in the day, “PG” rating meant anything that wasn’t for kids lol.

Shark Story: I was in Maui, Hawaii in 2014 during Hurricane Ana. Part of our vacation was spent hunkered down in our hotel with the waves crashing up to the second and third floor. We didn't get a direct hit from the hurricane but we got the winds and weather. After it passed, everyone wanted to of course go out and get in the water. Myself and my friend went out pass the wave break, when I got this uneasy feeling. The water wasn't as clear and blue, the hurricane made it choppy and murky. Something told me to get out the water. No sooner than 4 mins of us sitting on the sand we heard a man scream. As we looked up I saw a man climbing out of the water with his arm missing. God was with us that day! A group of us walked him into the Maui Kai hotel lobby...blood was everywhere. The guy survived, but I was ready to go home.

IsisAtlantis

The top secret story that the shark hunter told is actually from a real event. The USS Indianapolis July 30, 1945.

I was 6 when this came out. My parents took us to the drive-in theater and hoped my younger brother & I would fall asleep. Drive-ins were always double features! WE DID NOT FALL ASLEEP. It was the lack of sharks ( folks just getting yanked underwater) & music that was scary. This movie traumatized me. My dad couldn't get us into a pool for months. And when we went to the beach later that summer, we wouldn't go near the water. PG-13 was created in 1984. If it were around in 1975, I'm sure Jaws would have had the PG-13 rating due to the gore. This movie was considered the first summer blockbuster. Movies weren't a thing to do during the summer months. Most studios released low-budget movies in the summer. Also, movies didn't do wide releases. Spielberg strategically placed it for a summer release and had wide distribution. Even the original Star Wars in 1977 was a limited release over Memorial Day weekend. Now it's a standard to release high-budget films during the summer with wide distribution.

Rindamarie

When you said it was PG and couldnt be that bad, it unlocked a lot of memories! I was 8 years old when this was first in theatres and there was a special warning printed in all the newspaper ads, something about being too violent for young children. A lot of my fellow 4th graders still saw it that summer, but my parents wouldn't take me because of the extra warning!

Shari Todd

Hope yall still watch Rush Hour 3. The best one imo.

Chelsea Turner

Jaws is one of those classic films I would describe as never watching, but always hearing references in other movies about it.

Keke

this is a classic movie and a classic animal horror movie as well, some more movies like that i'm confident you guys would enjoy. Anaconda 1997. Deep Blue Sea 1999. The Ghost and the Darkness 1996 (True African Lion Story)

Reggie Riobe

Ryah
