She isn't dead because of her own actions? Nothing she did that day led to her death and, in fact, she was stronger for it. She died because of Rick's actions. This quest was always doomed whether she went or not and Daryl would have died that day if Denise hadn't been there, FYI. Negan's crew already knew about Alexandria and blocked the road with that tree. It's tragic.

And TF have been there for about 3 months by now. 2 months went by between 6/9 and 6/10 and TF was there for about 2 weeks when they found the quarry full of walkers. So yeah they're not seasoned like we are. Welp Dwight is back, and with half his face burnt. So what happened to him? And is his wife still alive? Rosita said the tree was rotted and it mite have been but I think Dwight and his group helped it along so they could have ambushed anyone coming from Alexandria, taken them hostage and force them to bring them back to Alexandria, because he knew what our place looked like. They was watching us and they have been watching us. Probably got the information from Dwight. I'm with you Adison I hate Dwight.

She has taken it upon herself to make the hard choices right or wrong for the safety of the group as a whole. Not condoning the Karen situation but what she did was wrong but for the right reason. So, again she thought she was making the hard choice again. Her heart cannot take anymore. She can but won't kill for the group anymore. That is why she had to leave.

She had knowledge, just nothing hands on. As she said, no stitches or surgery. Why she was "diagnosing" Darryl and Rosita trauma. Adison - I believe when we first met Denise, you immediately started thinking about crazy, rat torturer, sister killing Lizzie.

This is one reason why I believe Abraham jumped ship. He thought she was the end all be all for awhile until he had other options.

2025-07-19 09:35:44 +0000 UTCSee, this episode just proves Rick and the group were 100% right to strike first. Dwight and the Saviors already knew where Alexandria was. They were looking to force them into submission, exactly like they did with Hilltop. The fact that Negan’s people has found Alexandria is proof that Team Family acted when they should have. The attack on the Savior compound wasn’t random murder, it was a preemptive strike to feed their people and to free Hilltop from what was basically slavery. They weren’t wrong, because if they had waited, they would’ve been ambushed and slaughtered in their own homes. Luckily, they had met Jesus and got the intel they needed about Negan’s operation, otherwise, Alexandria would’ve been next on Negan’s list Rick and the group didn’t start this. Negan’s system of fear and control did, and Team Family were out here trying to put an end to it.

I came in on the live in the middle so I missed it(but I didn't catch the, "You kmow how to bite a dick, Eugene. And mean that with the upmost respect", part lol.. Honestly, to me, Abraham is hands down the funniest character series. And the best part about it is, the character isn't TRYING to be funny, that's just how he naturally talks. It just so happens that everything he says happens to sounds random and hilarious out of pocket with a poetic flair throughout(he went hard on the poetic flair with Sasha at the end of this ep that she had to fold lol)... Eugene has that same effect when he speaks(not as funny as Abraham, but majority of the things he is most likely gonna get at least a chuckle out of me. That and I'll never get over the way he was just straight armed running down the street when they were escaping Terminus, like a basketball player playing trash defense lol)... They way they both speak have this unique way of making your brain kinda glitch for a moment. Like, they're speaking English, and you KNOW they're speaking English, but way they speak makes it feel like your brain often needs to take an extra moment to process what the hell they just said(Abraham usually makes you like 😳 while Eugene is often more 😐, and weird that actually listening to them talk to each other bust the two of them through out this episode that their conversation were oddly easy to follow actually lol), which makes it all the more funnier 😆...

2025-07-19 03:17:06 +0000 UTCHere's the thing. I know people think what Denise was doing was stupid and an unnecessary risk, but she was absolutely right. She did need to be out. The outcome is unfortunate, but here's the thing. You can train til the day is long, but at the end of the day, EVERYONE needs experience out there... What if another group like The Wolves just plowed through on a rampage, or another mega herd comes through? What if Alexandria falls? Like those walls just come down and this place just go to smithereens? People are dead all over, including some of our very own Team family members. Denise is somehow still standing, maybe even makes it out of Alexandria escaping when it fell, and even ends up with just maybe one or two other person or even just ends up by herself? What on Earth do you think would would happen to with just "training?"? What if Denise was at the prison when it fell? I don't think she would have even made it out of the building, unless someone directly got her out of there... Even Bambi Beth had SOME experience. Hell, she lived on the road with the rest of them for like 8 months. She was out her blasting and crying with the rest of them during the prison battle, even ran of the bus to go find Judith. She still got the top of her muffin blow off for tryi g to catch her first official body, but that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. Nothing's guaranteed. People like Denise & Eugene are great assests in different important areas that doesn't necessarily translate to fighting in the field, and I get not wanting to risk those very important assests by them getting potentially killed because of "the big picture", but to deny them the true experience of being out there, trying to gain it for their own survival and safety, to be able contribute if it ever gets down to them actually needing to these things, even if it's a being out there for a little at a time bit at a time, gradually increasing the time to gain that comfortability, is kinda crippling them... If something were to happen inside those walls to where Denise life was in danger and she had to fight, wouldn't you rather her be fearless? Wouldn't you want to feel confident that if she was the only other person with you and that they could have e your back. Daryl & Rosatia can walk out of Alexandria right now, never come back, and most likely be fine. They were, along with the rest of Team Family, were thrown into this apocolypotic ocean of death with no life jacket, so they had to learn how to sink or swim in it REAL fast. They're comfortable out there because they had no choice to but to GET comfortable. It's unfair for people who didn't to have that experience to not be able to have everyone have that opportunity to be able to feel confident enough to say that they, too, can walk right out and say they can do the same. I always hated that Daryl & Rosita basically kinda shitted on Denide and were being very kinda grossly condescending the whole episode because she simply wanted to be able to have that for herself. If grumpy & bitter actually tried to work with her out there, helping her try gain the experience, maybe the putcome of thks situation would have worked out a whole lot better(honestly whether they were on the track or in the woods, they most likely would have ran into Dwight regardless because they were clearly already watching and waiting because there no way that they just so happened to come across Alexandrians, they very group they got took out the compound and took all of their stuff as just some bomb timing and coincidence lol). Alexandria have walls right now, so they don't have to throw them the deep end like they got. We can use the lifejackets for these Alexandrians for however long, bit by bit whenever they feel comfortable and are skiled enough to do more and go further. We don't have to potentially make them drown to get it, but they should get it. Denise was trying to gain this experience so she COULD be able to feel confindent about being able to survive, which she should. Eugene's a great liar, but the lies can only get you so far in survival(all the way from Texas to Georgia but still, he almost got head knocked clean tf off when he got exposed, and that doesn't sound like survival to me lol). The dingleberries hitting the fan is not the best time for you want to test your training and nerve in the face of death... The truth You can't always be there protect them(unless you're Abraham & Eugene, I guess, at this point lol). There's gonna time ti where you're just not there, or you're dead. Either way, they are somehow in apositoon. You can't promise to keep them safe within the walls. The herd already proved that. Imagine if Denise had some training and when she was taken hostage by The Wolf. She would have probably been able to handle him more easily, and not just psychologically like she(and Morgan) did. But her gaining that experience and getting through the fear of that was what made her to catch her breath and lock-in when she saw that they were bringing Carl.into the infirmary, and save his life. They have a right to be able to know to survive like the rest if them. Everyone should learn and know how to go on runs, self defense, in both weaponry & hand to hand. Everyone should learn how to how. Everyone should learn CPR & First Aid(honestly as much medical stuff that you can learn so we potentially save ourselve or someone else that's woth us, or some we have backup opportunity for potential "doctors" in the furture so a replace or working like Rosita. Everyone should have their main jobs, but there's honestly should be like every couple of months, everyone takes on a other job a day, rotating for like a week to different until everyone hit them all. Infirmary training and experience one day, going out on a run and scavanging one day, hunting on another, construction(if able bodied to), weapons training another day, fight training one another, and over time people like Eugene and Denise(with our more experience watching out for them, like Daryl since he don't want to be recruiter boy anymore, but out of sight to try to keep them safe from strangers, if needed, or try to be there if they just get into trouble that it looks like they're in trouble they may not seem to be able to get out of) have them spend the as if they were living on road for the day(& night), finding food, shelter, creating some alert system, stay overnight and come back home the next day. Or have it done every week and just have about 10 people at a time doing it for the week and rotate them out, and just repeat the cycle when it comes back around to keep it routine and continuous. The more learn and experience being out there surviving, the stronger a real survivor they become, and that just benefits everyone, does it not? Shoot, sometimes the experience is FAR more important than the training. At the end of the day, there's no "proper" way to survive, if it keeps you alive. You're either alive or you're not. You gotta learn how stay one and not the other...
