They weren't allowed to go out on their own (vmin had to run away in order to go to an internet cafe and they got yelled at afterwards), weren't allowed to eat ice cream or something that could gain them weight (joonie had to put his ice cream into his pocket to hide it from his manager), and when they were tired and went to sleep in the bathroom in the middle of practice, the managers dragged them back to practice more - just to name a few. They also required jimin to stay really fit for their debut due to the part in choreo where he lifts his shirt, even though he didn't want to do that (all members originally lifted their shirts, but then it was changed and only jimin had to). So basically Bighit was just as bad as the rest of the companies - it's just that Bang PD makes their trainee and debut days sound way more free than what the members have told themselves. BUT they did get freedom to participate in the song-making so that might be a pretty huge difference compared to other companies (like artistical freedom and such).
