to answer your question regarding the paralysis.. as she said earlier in the video the water temperature during the capsizing was in the low 50s which is VERY cold for water. hypothermia in this temperature of water starts happening as early as 10 minutes. since the divers were doing shifts of 3 hrs at a time he most likely got permanent paralysis in his left thigh from being in that cold water for as long as he was. it happens a lot if you’re not careful.

And just one measly firefighter, not even a firefighter, but he was something similar. Sacrificing himself to help with no weapon. When it should have been police. All that was shown in All of us are dead, it's a must watch.
