T.O.P was in the OG kpop group called bigbang (really succesful). He has always struggled with his mental health, has been diagnosed depression & anxiety disorder(lots to do with the fame he got since age 18) He has had many haters in the past but in 2017 he smoked a little weed with a friend bc he has high anxiety and the entirety of Korea started a hate train(very conservative country).Shortly after T.O.P tried to unalive himself was fortunately unsuccesful and was treated in the hospital but after that got even more heavily b*llied online again by the whole country(bc he is a big star over there) saying things like "he should've" or sending death threats or similar things, right after his suic*de attempt he was forced to apologize in front of live TV bc he smoked a little weed, He completely left the industry after everything(eventhough he has successfull music and acting awards) Korea treated him like dirt for smoking a little weed twice in his own home.Harming nobody. He left his whole life behind in Korea, didn't want anything to do with them anymore (rightfully so) after his suic*de attempt and moved to the US and has gotten way better mentally, started acting again and this role(thanos) is basically a dig at how Korea made him out to be, like the korean media made T.O.P out to be this evil,psycho ruining wild on drugs when all he did was smoke a little weed in his own home,(don't know if you know as example the suga incident where he had to apologize publicly for something really minor, the media also dragged suga's name through the mud like they did to T.O.P years earlier way worse)so now he portrays this psycho character on drugs like the media slanted his name as a dig to Korea in a very popular show. I'm sorry this has become a very long comment, thought it would be interesting for you guys to know the little inside to his character he plays, also just very happy to see him back acting his butt off and making music again(he is a real rapper irl) after all he has been through and kinda of taking his revenge on his country. I love Kpop and such but the korean media and knetizen are really petty and honestly disg*sting how they shame and deem someone unforgivable for minor things, the bullying and hateful words they aren't ashamed to say or write about a person is really disturbing. Knetzins still do this till this day with other members of other groups, for example they were sending funeral wreaths to sm company bc they wanted an idol out of a group bc he had a girlfriend before joining. Also find it ridiculous South-korea put so much shame onto weed when weed is way better than smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol which they have no problem with.
