Kromer, who impales an unliving thing Here you'll read my own interpretation of this work. The choice of color behind it is meant to symbolize the two affinities associated with Kromer, namely Pride and Lust. The robotic heart she has impaled is tied to Pride, the joy she takes in her grim work. The orange and golden streaks radiating from her instead imply her sheer passion for it, just how much she desires to cleanse all mechanical impurities as her love for all things human demands. This is a more loose and impressionistic approach to painting with my goal being to tell a story first and foremost. All details are concentrated where they need to be, whereas the rest is split up into impressionistic marks. I hope you enjoy this kind of work!
