The Need for Fresh Flesh and a Release Schedule!

Remastering classic pinup and comic art is one of our chief missions here at the RHB's Patreon, but while that work is important, we know that not all our fans are satisfied solely by this content. There's a hunger for FRESH FLESH that must be satisfied!

How are we to provide it though when our Patreon initiative is young and our funds are low? For starters, we'll channel our inner Nabiki and think about what our community desires.

As best we can figure, our community has a mix of members who are in one of the following four camps:

• A newbie who can't afford to support the flagship website, but will chip in a smaller amount at our Patreon to support the art. All content types are new and fresh for this group, but since Ranma is an aging franchise, the amount of Ranma newbies interested in supporting our cause is not a big group.
• A longtime fan who can't afford to support the flagship website at present, but will chip in a smaller amount at our Patreon to support the art. This group primarily cares about current/new art, and cares less about classic art because they've "seen it all before".
• A Patreon member who's also a member of our flagship website. These stalwart supporters are super fans who want to help us remaster classic art and/or grow the Patreon to the point where it begins creating all new, Patreon-Exclusive art- this art in addition to what is being made over at the flagship website already. These are our most generous fans, but we can't take that for granted. They expect to be rewarded with stellar exclusive content they can only get for supporting our Patreon.
• A supporter who loves what we do, but for financial reasons must choose between supporting the Patreon and the flagship website. Most often, value is what counts with this camp, with current and exclusive content being valued most.

Satisfying all camps is difficult, but we've decided that a balanced and transparent approach is the fairest way forward. We need to offer classic, current, and- when possible- new/exclusive content.

Up to this point, we've been posting content "as it becomes available". The problem with that, however, is our community often doesn't know:

• What's coming?
• How much is coming?
• When is it coming?

We need to create policies that answer these questions for each type of content that we offer: classic, current, and exclusive content.

Starting this June, we'll be doing a "What's on the Menu" post. This will be a rundown of all the currently planned content for that month. It will be publicly posted and offer our Patrons a clear layout of what we're working on and when we're targeting it for release.

The release schedule for Classic and Current Content will always be honored.

On the other hand, release dates for Exclusive Content (Brand Spanking New Art) won't be set in stone.

We need to make sure that our artists don't rush art and compromise its quality. Any delays will be reasonable and no longer than necessary to ensure Exclusive Content art is every bit as SWEETO as Happosai could wish.

It is our hope that the increased communication and transparency of "What's On the Menu?" will allow our patrons to have clarity about the art they're getting for their support and provide peace of mind that their investment in our projects will be well worth it.
