Swords ~ Timeline of Main Character Births

This timeline is a little hazy, but its based off of things we know to be true because they already happened in the comics:

~ The first tournament we see is the XXVth Annual Swor'nament, which Rapier Tapir wins
~ We know from one episode that Rapier Tapir was the winner of the XXIVth Annual Swor'nament

~ The Kingdom of Hiltshire was founded by King Hilton in what is now counted as the Year 0 (King Grelf is over 1 million years old at this point)

~ Most of the series takes place between the XXVth Annual Swor'nament, and Bread Knight arriving at the Demon King's lair a full year later
~ At the start of the series, the main characters ages are : Bread Knight (18), Harpe (18), Joyeuse (19), Sickle (25) and Chad (14)

~ Toast Knight burned the Food Kingdom down when Bread Knight was a child, and ferried him across the sea to Hiltshire

~ We see in one episode that Rad the Sworc was banished from Orcadia while it was still being built
~ He befriends King Hilton, wins three Swor'naments in a row and then runs away with Sharp Sharply's sister. Chad is born about a year later.

~ Sickle is 14 when she begins to apprentice under Hawk the Blacksmith. She is an orphan.

~ Bright Knight and Night Knight met in battle 10 years prior to falling in love and moving to Hiltshire. They compete in the XXVth Swor'nament another 10 years later.

Hiltshire exists at a time when progress is really starting to pick up around the world - in a way, runes and metallurgy are paving a different path forward than a full-scale Industrial Revolution. There are already flying Sword-cars in Orcadia, as well as movies being recorded on Seeing Swords and broadcast to Orbs.
