In this first photo-set accompanying our Tutored Life Drawing course we have selected 150 close-up examples of the neck and shoulders from our photo library, demonstrating how the junction between the head and the torso looks from different angles and how the common anatomical forms of the body express themselves in different bodies and different poses. These photos are cropped from the original hi-res photo files, allowing you to see the body in more detail than you would in our full-figure sets and providing a resource from which you can observe the varied articulations of the body. By making studios from these close ups you'll be able to gain a greater insight into the forms that underpin the human figure. Lance's tutorial videos and blogs will help to set these images in context, so we recommend looking over those resources to support your drawings.
