Coming up on the Patreon this month

In this post you'll find a run down of everything we'll be releasing this month, but first I wanted to share some really exciting news! This month I'm going to be releasing a book that I have been working on for over 2 years. It is called Figure Drawing and is the most comprehensive book I've ever written. It lays out my approach to life drawing in 288 pages with a combination of observation, expressive and constructed processes and I'm really proud of it. I'll be launching the book online this month and it would be great to see as many of you there as possible, so I just wanted to share some of the keys dates (I'll also be posting up about it on my Instagram here). I finished the booking during the first lockdown and couldn't have done it without the amazing support of the Draw community, so thank you so much to everybody who contributed towards it! 

• Thursday 15th July - Figure Drawing first available through Cass Art. Details HERE
• Wednesday 21st July - Online book launch & life drawing session. (Life Drawing / Student Tier supporters will be able to attend for free, in place of our usual Wednesday night class - you'll get a link on the day) Supporters on other tiers can book a place through the Cass Art website HERE
• Thursday 29th July - Figure Drawing will be officially released in the UK (Kickstarter supporters will receive their copy by this date!)
• Tuesday 3rd August - Figure Drawing will be released in the USA - you can pre-order it HERE 
• 2021/22 - Figure Drawing will be released in Canada this year and translations will be released in China & Spain in the next 12 months.

Future plans

• At the end of August we'll be adding new portrait and life drawing photos to ALL of our existing photo-sets to give you a greater range of drawing choices

• From the 1st October we'll be releasing more of our straight forward life & portrait poses with new model Ines, Adrain, Manko, Fraçoise & Mat swell as releasing more Drawing Circus photosets. 

Where does all the money go? 

The money you pay into the Draw Patreon helps us to support, maintain and grow our community - it is split between 35-45 artists and models each month. Draw is a social enterprise and I am a volunteer here - all of our other tutors and contributors are paid fairly for the work they do to produce the wonderful resources that your support gives you access to.  You find more details about how the money is spent here.
